Does anyone else can't post youtube URL's anymore?

I used to be able to post with youtube URL’s on the forums. Suddenly today I learned that I can’t.
Does anyone else have this issue?

I remember seeing a topic or two not terribly long ago suggesting that Discourse (the forum platform Blizzard uses now) moved the default Trust Level requirement up 1 for whitelisted links such as YouTube.

If that’s the case, Blizzard needs to manually change it if they want it how it used to be. That’s assuming it was actually a Discourse change and not a Blizzard change though.

Anyway, check your Trust Level.

Regular = embeds and links still work.
I don’t THINK “Member” works currently.

I believe minimum lvl is member
Because I am member and can post glorious YouTube videos of this star

Try hitting the share button on the vid and copy / pasting that link instead of just the url in the search bar.

Here goes nothing.

I got an error that said I can’t embed media items in a post.

Tying different way. (note to mods: not trying to hack or exploit anything, just trying to see what member status can and can’t do)

I think they did it because they want fewer videos posted. It worked. Only people with a certain type of seniority will ever be able to post videos again.

The recent forum update broke the ability for TL2 Members to post YouTube links.

trust level member still cant post videos.

I’ve tried once, I thought Id lost my trust level with taking an extended break.

Tried posting directly and using hyperlink to no avail.

basically yeah if your a member you can’t post videos anymore. only trust level 3 can.

member is trust level 2. mine says member can’t post videos. gives error when i try.
