I’m just genuinely curious. Does anyone actually enjoy/look forward to doing LFR Ny’lotha? Every LFR run I’ve been in has just made me not want to keep playing honestly.
9/10 runs I join are already in progress as people just want to kill a single boss for the weapon/trinket drop and then leave. Griefing seems to be a constant and expected thing where people will just run and pull trash or bosses before leaving or dying hoping to just afk the encounter. Often over half the raid is doing DPS equivalent to auto attacking hoping for the top half to carry them resulting in bosses taking longer to kill than their heroic counterparts. And the cavalier attitude of most of the LFR raid towards anyone offering direction seems to just further full toxicity within the environment. Almost every single LFR I’ve been into has often resulted in bosses requiring 5+ determination to kill to make up for half the raid just basically afking.
Normal mode actually seems easier and stress free in comparison. I don’t see myself ever queuing for LFR again the rest of this expansion, it just saps all motivation to play and just isn’t fun.
So I guess to end, does anyone actually like the current LFR? Why?
yeah, the armor this expansion outside of PvP/warfront gear hasn’t really appealed to me very much. I acutally like the questing gear more than the raiding gear for transmog funnily enough.
It is because you can and will be kicked for going in and auto-attacking and refusing to get out of bad unless you’re getting a carry. People usually want to get the raid done in a proficient manner instead of the nonsense that goes on in LFR.
I’m fine with LFR. But I’ve hardly done Ny’alotha at all. I normally like to collect the mog sets, but since they drop from assaults and the cloak quests I’ve had virtually no reason to run the raid after the first time. I hope Nathria doesn’t do that.
But I still like LFR in general. Aside from the odd specially hard encounter it’s a fairly relaxed way to get some gear and check out the content. A little difficulty doesn’t hurt much either.
Won’t touch LFR with a 10ft gnome anymore. If people cannot be bothered to do the simple mechanics, I’m not gonna waste my time. At least with normals and up, you can screen slackers from your runs.
Yeah, I’m pretty sick of trying N’Zoth. The rest is alright. Can never get a group that hasn’t killed Carapace. LFR has no business requiring this much coordination from a bunch of randos, and has no business taking 3 hours and around 20 wipes imo. People who do LFR are just trying to gear up or play casually, maybe newbies are learning it. Keep the mechanics in for those learning, but a small nerf to damage taken would be nice. Maybe less people being afflicted with paranoia. If people want a challenge they should try N/H.
Not anymore. For some reason this expansion people just don’t try. I enjoyed LFR back in Pandaria, WoD, and Legion when people actually tried to follow mechanics. Nowadays it’s like no one reads chat or even attempts to read the dungeon journal. It just feels gross.
Siege of Orgrimmar LFR was probably the best iteration we’ve had, because people still tried and it had some semblance of difficulty. Nowadays either the boss is brain dead easy with no mechanics to even follow, or completely overturned for the majority of LFR players
One again it’s 2020 blizzard’s inability to just make a good game that ruins it…
LFR in its current state is a painful time sink for trash.
But give it a day or two and another thread will pop up announcing that LFR has destroyed raiding because people just flock to the crazy free mad loots. I wish I could queue for that LFR.
Lets be honest here, people only uses LFR for two reason: 1. They are solo players and dont give a crap about social interaction 2. They just want to complete the story.
The mechanics on LFR N’Zoth are simple enough that I could probably train a dog to do them. Problem is, over half of LFR players have sub-dog levels of intellect and effort
i actually used to when i sucked at the game and decided for some reason to main a healer. i was to scared to do normal raids so i just did LFR this was for a long time too like 1 whole expac at least 2 at the most.
Now i might do LFR just to experience older raids i didn’t do cause i took a break and my gear is bad and what not. i don’t mind it only big issue i mind is when i got to deal with people who are just AFK and doing low dps so low that they are just auto attacking. i mean i understand your under geared, you new, or w.e. but at least participate so we can all finish this quicker.
being on both ends im against the people that want it removed. like if you don’t like LFR then DONT DO IT.
