To me, it seems like a poor variant of the Trial of Style. I cant figure how the devs see this as fun content, personally.
The whole anniversary event is a bit of a miss for me. The only positive I’ve experienced is doing the classic dungeons. I levelled a 10 to 16 in 2 dungeons. I haven’t done the raid yet, not sure how fun it is.
The fashion thing? Its a big off-target for me.
It’s a worse version and a bad one. Like people dont even follow any themes they just wait to pickup the votes and use it 5 times on someone and move on.
I love Trial of Style. How is this one different?

I “partook” once, had no idea what was going on, was told to get some ribbons, so I did and I randomly targeted players with them.
Yep, same for me. If there was a point to it (other than free mogging) cant really see what it is.
I think it’s just for fun, like the “mount off”. It’s just not organized well imo - design aspect that is.
I thoroughly enjoyed the mount off.
Lots of chit chat, as a few mounts appeared that some did not have then the last mount … Spectral Tiger … Oh chat went OFF! Hilarious. I know exactly what words were said out loud behind those keyboards haha
Zero organization. Trial of Style at least puts you in an instance of only ten people and then round robins everyone in pairs until everyone has been up several times.
With the Frenzy everyone is jumbled up outside, there’s no limit on players, and you “vote” by picking up ribbons from a table and just throwing them at players as quickly as you want (which gives them a stacking buff). Whoever has the most ribbons at the end wins.
Well the mount off was guaranteed to do well, as there are few things players love to do more than flash their rare or beautiful mounts. Even I have sat around in town waiting for something an hitting the random mount just to bring up some of my favs.

I transformed into my Anubisath Idol pet and pulled out my sword. I got 8 votes, didn’t get on stage though.
One person stated that they still have PTSD from them sneaking up on them in AQ back in the day lol
