Because I think Arthas was born into privilege and wealth, was beloved by his teacher, family, and friends, was consistently given good advice, and ignored it at every turn.
I think Arthas has a great story. But he was a privileged, healthy, wealthy prince. Guldan was a literal pauper with a bone disease and nobody on his side.
Of course.
I think this is where the confusion comes from people think that if you like the bad guy in a story that means you want to be them.
The whole empathy vs sympathy thing.
Iâm a little more optimistic. I liked Talanji and Flynn Fairwind a whole lot. I also really like what theyâre doing to develop the dragons this expansion. Big fan of Sindragosaâs simulacrum especially.
Souls being used by the Legion doesnât really make sense anymore after Shadowlands. Thatâs the problem with trying to go too deep into the nonsensical narrative that the dung writing team has delivered.
I stand by my original post. Guldanâs actions literally killed any chance of him ever being a sympathic character from any sane perspective.
