I got back into the game and always end up playing PVP, it’s generally fun for a while before I realize it’s busted in “x, y, or z” way this expansion lol.
I am curious if any game types scale. BGs? Brawls? I haven’t geared up with PVP gear so I don’t want to join and put any teams at a disadvantage.
If not, what is the best way to get geared up without ruining others experience?
Bg blitz scales your item level to 473. Max ilvl currently is 489. So you won’t get completely globaled. Although those 16 ilvl actually account for a pretty huge health and damage disparity, it’s still a lot better than other game modes where you might have less than half the health of someone else.
There’s green quality starter pvp gear you can buy off the auction house. I’d almost say screw that though because earning the honor gear is pretty fast.
I’d just do what Antaris said and hit up Blitz.
Okay, that explains why I was doing alright in the Brawl: BG Blitz mode but got deleted in Random BG’s lol!

Really no reason to do Random BGs until you’re geared. Blitz not only scales, but gives you more conquest, especially with the weekly quests. Just make sure to supplement your gear with epic WPvP gear. That’s a huge boost while you work on Conquest
Make sure to at least get the PvP trinkets off the AH so you can have their set bonus if you have no PvP currency yet
Blizz will never be able to move away from
Scaling due to the fact that they are unable and unwilling to balance classes properly or overhaul the entire PvP system.
Gear isnt gear anymore. Lots of hidden math takes place when you cast a fireball or swing a sword. It’s not as bad as bfa but we are headed in that direction. People been crying for templates and scaling since season one of SL which was by far the best PvP we’ve had since cata. Now we are back to the hidden math scaling. Fun times
Templates were terrible. Having a set template of stats that usually didn’t benefit the specs you loved playing the most was terrible. I’m convinced most of the people who continually ask for them never played in Legion.

theres quite a lot you can do in epics even naked
