Just curious as I’m not sure I’m aware of any game on the market requiring finger gymnastics to play a game. But obviously I could be mistaken.
If you’ve only ever played WoW, then you’d be right.
Enlighten me
I don’t have keybinds. I have a mouse with a 12 buttons on the side that I can use for abilities. 24 when I include shift. 36 when I include ctrl
Tomatoes, tomatOes.
So…basically its not that there are keybinds, its that there are a lot of abilities? Is that really your complaint?
Not that I know of but I’m not much of a gamer. The only other MMO I’m familiar with is GW2 which has significantly less combat keybinds (about 15 in total).
Old school RTS games have many more keybinds to memorize. Age of Empires, Starcraft, etc.
I have something like 35 bindings.
(No mouse buttons)
Tho I’ve had years to get used to it.
So I’m not getting any other games at all so far
There are also rogue-likes, dungeon crawl stone soup, rogue, etc. However, only boomers play them.
Bruh, you should see FFXIV. Holy cow…
FF14 had a ton of keybinds, albeit the GCD was slower and you weaved in OGCD abilities. So it wasn’t bad.
Hogwarts might not technically have as many but it felt like a lot.
FF has quite a few as well but it would be similar or less from what I remember.
Don’t ever play FF14 if you think WoW is bad lol.
eso has about 8
FF14 is somehow worse with button bloat. It blows my mind how many abilities you have to combo together.
Is that a bad thing for a PC game to require lots of Keybinds, or… what?
I actually modified that game to put certain spells (utility, some force and levitate spells) on my keybinds and to quickly change loadouts, since the game pretty much plays like WoW 2 on the unreal engine.
It was super tiring to switch to my stealth spell on my separate loadout.
To me, no, at least to a point.
But, this is WoW, where something like Beast Mastery Hunters exist so seeing people complain about too many keybinds seems par for the course lol.
rts games blow wow out of the water in terms of sheer amount of keybinds possible. Heck in alot of them you don’t even have the luxury of being able to say press 1 to select swordsman or marines, ya gotta manually do that every game, multiple times!
