Can using a bigger monitor decrease your performance? I plugged my computer into my 60 inch tv ( I know I’m very rich…) and my fps seems to have taken a hit. Maybe its the cord I used?
Resolution matters, not the physical size.
Also if I play in windowed mode I cant seem to move the resolution past 1920x1080 it freezes for a second then goes back to what it was at. With the tv size the resolution is making it look like 720p
it depends on your gpu
i run my 55inch on a 1080ti, and have no problem
but i tried using my old r9270x and ya good luck haha
kids can play roblox on it on the big screen thats about it
resolution matters mostly tho yupp
put it to 800x600 and you should have no much lag hahaha
a good computer monitor will always out preform the tv, a 32 inch monitor/tv is about the max for good performance imo.
What T.V do you have, and what kind of cord are you using?
is your 60 inch TV 4k or 1080p, and your normal monitor isn’t? inch size makes no difference, resolution is the only thing that would make a difference. the cable, 99% of the time, won’t matter either, unless you’re plugging it in with VGA or something
using a vga to hdmi convertor
Televisions generally have a lower refresh rate compared to a gaming monitor. The version of your HDMI connection can also affect your framerate on a television at 4K levels.
It totally depends on the resolution of the TV. If your TV is capable of insane resolution then yes , it will if your card can’t push it.
It might affect it, though. Then you would feel the effect, from that.
But no, it doesn’t.
Monitors have refresh rates, and they can’t display a framerate higher than that refresh rate without issues.
If your monitor has a 60hz refresh rate, but your system can pull 140fps, you’re only gonna see 60 on your monitor.
Was just gonna ask about that. Thanks.
Yes, those big tv’s run at a higher resolution.
I have the same issue.
Whats your video card, a radeon 7200?
