Just curious if the new Undermine zone has new gear thrown out or if Siren Isle will still be the way to go for fresh 80s to visit first?

Oh absolutely.
Among that, new ilvls will be bumped in existing content. Normal dungeons, heroics and M+.
Base Mythic looks to be dropping ilvl 636.

Siren Isle being S1 content won’t get upgraded item levels. 584s will be worse than Explorer track S2 items, so I doubt that’s where players will be going, even fresh alts. Won’t be worth it.

The ring will almost certainly be relevant for probably half of the season they are going onyx annulet route with it. They want us wearing that thing

The ring yes, but the rest of the gear drops won’t be worth farming. As soon as players get their raw citrines and rings to 658 I don’t think there’s a reason to stay on Siren Isle, for gear progression purposes. Xmogs, pets, whatever else sure.

Oh totally. Once you got enough metal to dress your Alt and get their ring to max, mail el their gems(why bother unlocking that over and over) and you’re ready to head to goblin town.

Seeing as how catch-up gear is the only thing in fhis entire xpac that hasn’t been time-gated to hell and back, I don’t think you need to worry too much.

If it is anything like normal, the campaign for 11.1 will drop gear around S1 veteran level as quest rewards.
Then you will get more gear coming in through the various content like delves, dungeons, and the raid when it opens.
Idk how much catch up your expecting but I’d say you’ll be able to easily get to current veteran, maybe even champion, level. Current being S1.

The story quests give higher ilvl greens than what was available before.
Pretty much every patch zone/update has an ilvl increase, from quests to endgame.
The annulet was nerfed before DF S2 started. The circlet will be good until you can get gilded crests.
