Yeah, people these days think “criticising something” is complaining about that something.
I dont blame you.

However they dont know that saying something is “triggering” is what actually complaining became.

Old times, triggering had another meaning, but now this crowd coopted the term to change their own complaining by it.

And they get triggered when someone else criticise what they think too important.
