I know everyone likes having the Classic experience, but do you play with Questie? I tried at the beginning without it and playing was very difficult. Has anyone made it to 60 without any addons?
i do not.
never have. I can just follow the quest text or google.

I have questie. I use addons for qol additions to my classic experience.
im on and off with it depending on the toon, sometimes the classic feel is refreshing

I’ve leveled up multiple toons without a questing addon. It’s fun and worth doing at least once.
That being said, I currently use Questie. It does speed things up some.
Playing a MMO without marked objectives is bad. Mobs infinitely respawn every few minutes so you will have your time wasted killing dozens of unnecessary trash if you don’t know where the mcguffnium is in advance. It’s not so bad when areas are actually populated and other players have cleared them out. But when you’re alone in a quest area, you have every single mob to content with, often in packs, and they repop every few minutes. Caves and mines are the worst because you basically have to clear them twice. Once to get, once to get out. If you have no idea where the objective is, then it’ll be even worse. Many times a mob will respawn on you while you’re fighting another mob then instantly jump on you.
Back in the day, we looked up quests online all the time. Blizzard finally caved in wrath and marked the objectives themselves. Now, for classic/crusade, we have questie, basically doing what Blizzard should have done with these games.

I have it but only turn it on if I have absolutely no clue on where to find mob/item. Most of the time I can do it without questie. It is a wonderful addon.

I don’t care for the amount of handholding it does but there is one thing that is nice: the ability to track more quests than the native interface allows.

I have it but don’t really need it. I have all the quests memorized by now its more of a don’t get lost on the way addon for me lol.
I use it bc it makes play on autopilot a bit easier. not saying thats a good thing bc when im leveling my 5th human its nice for some haldholding. i still have to google sometimes even w/o questie
I spent years looking things up on Thotbot, Alakazam, EJ, and Wowhead.
