goblin glider is always on my back. used it a few times over those stupid wormhole jokes where your 200 feet up when you get there, lol.
also use the 74a repair bot. cheap NPC to sell to to empty my bags if I cant mount.
thermal anvils get used a lot.

I used bombs in classic, and I only use nitro boots in retail.
Ever since they banned people for using saronite bombs I won’t touch them anymore. Not worth the risk.

main is an eng… nope.
I mostly use the wormhole, the antifall damage boots and the auction house. I would use the bombs with their current damage if they removed the cast time and they didn’t interfere with other usables. Right now im better off not using them.
used to, nowadays i dont even bother, Engineering has been nerfed to The Maw and back, we didnt even get a good Gun recipe this time! Blizz needs to stop with the drip feed of weapons and not just Greens that arent worth squat!

Dunno for keys but there’s a certain notorious bare foot dwarf priest who spends half of his globals lobbing bombs and incaps at people mid fight in bgs

During BC I did all the time. Grenades and dynamite were my paladins ranged option.
These days though nope. Most of the fun stuff is so limited in use that it’s not worth it at all.

Why were saronite bombs banned? I appear to have missed this.

I would consider using them in unrated PvP (if that’s possible) but I think they share a cooldown with potions, and potions now have a 5 minute cooldown, which is too long.
I used to use the frag belt instead of the nitro boosts, which is the tinker that I believe most engineers use. But the frag belt doesn’t work above a certain level anymore
Long story short,back when icc was new there was an exploit discovered. During the Arthas fight a guild used them to regrow the floor that got destroyed,making the valkire mechanic a non issue.

Important to note that it was not intentional and the rogue responsible simply was using bombs as part of his rotation and none of the guild members knew WTF was happening.
AFAIK, though initially banned, they were unbanned. Same cannot be said about Martin Fury shirt fiasco though iirc

I think engi bombs share a cooldown with combat pots, which makes them basically useless in keys.
The bombs are redundant, multiple crafts create basically the same item, basically a dps burst, with shared cool downs.
I perfer the alchemy burst pots… gonna have shadowcore on the weapon at all times, it’s minimal, but cheap enough… leaves me options… I can use the 66 str boost from the garrison, it’s practically free, for common fights… I use the 195s as needed for a harder fight, if I want straight up dps, I can chose single target or aoe potions.
I do have engineering covered, but just like inscription, blacksmithing, tailoring, I still haven’t found a reason to level up engineering. At the moment, those toons are disenchanting.
A side benefit of this newb friendly game… I bounce in and out of crafts as needed. Nothing now applies to 10.0
