Hi everyone returned to wow a few weeks ago and been leveling my new character worgen monk. Any other worg monks out there lol. I think the idea that of countering the cursed with the way of the monk fits well. Just wanted to hear opinions thanks in advance.
I think Worgen is kinda purfect for Monk.
Why it works:

Many Worgen were turned against their will. As much as the Nelves have helped stop them being uncontrolled, Monkhood can help find the ‘calm’ through inner peace and meditation.

At a glance it makes way more sense for a Worgen to use their limbs. What i stranger is seeing a Gilnean hunter. You really anger them and then they transform into a Worgen with mighty claws, midnight eyes and in their rage they… start using the same weapons they did before they got the curse??

Some kinship between the Monk teachers and Gilneans because they both come from nations that were kept in isolation.

Lore wise, literally everybody could pick up martial arts. See the big chubby pandas.
It’s the visual animations that’s the problem.

Yes, I have one that I made immediately when they were avaliable.
Have you seen the Monk trainer NPC? He’s pretty cool.
Something about a monk controlling their inner beast lends itself easily to Worgen.

True but I really like the worgen never really started playing an expansion with worgen. I though why not took me like 5m to decide my character lol. Still just started the new expansion I think just ported to dalaran.
I love Worgen Monk because I’m a Darkstalkers fan and in Darkstalkers there’s a Werewolf called Jon Talbain who learned Martial Arts to use the discipline and inner peace that they bring to calm down and control the beast within.

imo any monk who isn’t a panda, doesn’t fit lorewise
Few things in lore but pandaren fit monk
I don’t care about the lore, just let any race be any class.
yes. monks in general fit all races because everyone can learn martial arts, but also, worgen in particular are a good fit because i could definitely see them using monk teachings to further control the beast beyond what the night elf ritual did for them

I saw a worgen monk named ‘Puppercut’ and if that doesn’t give justification I don’t know what will.

Mind giving me a few tips still learning I’m using ww. Happy to read they fit well I’m liking a lot the class and race. Can’t wait to gear up
WW monks do more damage if their next ability isn’t a repeat of a previous one.
I’m pretty sure that’s their Mastery stat as well, it boosts the damage % if the ability used isn’t a repeat of a previous ability.
So you wanna Tiger Palm, Kick, Fists of Fury, Uppercut, Wind Strike, etc. when you can, off-cooldown.
Of course you don’t have the full rotation until higher level, so mostly it’s gonna be Palm, Kick, Fists, repeat until higher levels.
It’s a pretty pleasing rotation, I always enjoyed playing one.
Enjoyed their hero talents as well.
Edit: I just wanted to show my Worgen Monk, last played him in DF so he’s not up-to-date, but really loved his transmog:

All race/class combos fit the lore, so yes.
Yeah I read something like that. I go normally palm, rising kick, palm then fury after that kick to lower cd.

The forums aren’t letting me switch to my worgen monk but same here! I love my worgen monk, just needs a tail to complete her look. Gave her the pointed ears in human form so she’s like Genn from Heroes of the Storm.
RP wise, my worgen monk needed help to find her inner peace. Sure she wasn’t just turning into a feral worgen anymore, but she was still very hurt, furious, and broken from all the events of Cataclysm, so in Pandaria she met my panda monk, who helped her find her inner peace and helped teach her in the ways of a pandaren monk. My panda monk has helped train all my other monks too! Monk has always made sense to me for worgen since monk is about finding inner peace and that’s a good way for worgen to deal with their curse.

I didn’t enjoy monk for the longest time, it was my least favorite class and I couldn’t vibe with any of the specs. Until MOP remix… And now it’s the very best to me, and I fully endorse and encourage every race and spec of monk.
