Do you think when we get to Avaloren, we will see races like cat people?

Since it’s a whole unexplored area on the other side of the planet, and nobody has ever been there… And from what I’ve gathered, it’s described very differently than the azeroth/wow we know.

With that in mind, it seems like it opens up introducing things that aren’t… “World of warcraft.” Everything we know, and the lore is all based on this side of the planet, so why shouldn’t we expect more races like cat girls/boys and other stuff?

I could post a pic. But I don’t wanna get banned.

Can you at least add to the discussion? :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Never mind that you can sit on the vindicaar and watch the planet rotate in real time.

There’s a sea on the other side of Azeroth.

Or possibly cat boys?

Twitch. Shudder.

And if you look back over the last XX number of years at the map of Azeroth you can see whole large masses of land suddenly appearing out of nowhere that are within goal kicking distance of the other continents yet apparently never quite noticed in passing.

They change things in this game all the time. They can certainly change the map yet again.

Makes no sense that this exists given that we were literally on a spaceship in legion and could see the whole planet from space, we’d have noticed if there was some giant land mass on the other side of the world lol

I had a look at the visual of Azeroth from Argus. You can only see half the planet (the reminder is below the Argus landmass) and its almost entirely shrouded in cloud so its difficult to figure out what is what. Also, space being without up or down, etc, we could be viewing it from any angle given that Argus was sort of dumped in the region at no designated position.

The video is here, btw, so you can take a look:

And I said before, given how often the map has been radically overhauled with landmasses being dumped close to pre-existing ones, they don’t mind redesigning the world at need.

That’s what they say now… then we’ll find Trolls, Orcs, Elves… and possibly Moocow people too.

We have already seen cat people on draenor

The Saberon? They were quite nice looking creatures, sort of cat types that could stand upright. Druid players have been asking for years to get some of the skin appearances for their feral looks. I think the appearance of the Druid tank reward for the Mage Tower is based on them, though obviously a lot more ‘buff’.

Maybe they mated with humans on the other side? :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Yeah I don’t mind if they add something beyond the forbidden sea or whatever for game expansion reasons but it is kind of silly to think about literally given that we’ve seen the planet from outer space but no-one has mentioned anything for years until now lol

Presumably people like Velen would also already know about this given they were flying around in spaceships. And all of the dragon aspects, who we are friends with, particularly the black/earth dragons. And the elementals of earth who we’ve also occasionally been friendly with. And the elementals of water who we are friends with. And everyone in the shadowlands since there would be souls going to the SL from this land mass. So yeah basically every entity in the wow universe outside of the mortal races in kalimdor and the western kingdoms, which we interact with all the time.

No, we get cat people in the World of Warcraft: Faster, Cat Druid! Kill! Kill! expansion.

Anthropomorphic cats? Sure. Mi-qote? Hells no.

Maybe individuals do know about it but it was never important that your character go there or you learn about it. With all the local wars and whatnot, why worry about someplace on the otherside of the world? There are books that mention this mysterious place within the game right now.

Yeah, I wanna say the first time we noticed this in-game (in WoW anyway) was Ulduar, they have planetary models/globes in there, obviously missing Pandaria and lots of other stuff we got over the years.

Every new landmass is essentially a retcon.

Very rarely they aren’t- like Broken Isles was always known to be there since Warcraft 3 or so, just a lot about it changed I’m sure.

The original Broken Isles was completely submerged, but by the time we get there in Legion and see Suramar and stuff, we find out that’s not the case.

A wizard did it… and also maybe the Dranei are trying to hide the land masses for some reason. :o
