Do you think they'll update Azeroth when the secret continent of the Arathi "empire" is discovered?

By update Azeroth I mean when we can see the entire sphere from orbit in several parts of the game. Most notably in the vindicar. In which there is clearly not a secret massive continent on the “back” of azeroth.

Alternatively, are we going to find out that the Arathi Empire is not on Azeroth at all and instead on another world or plane of existence but passage between worlds is possible through a stable rift in the middle of the ocean?

The later point might explain why the Arathi mage guy was unable to to open a portal to the empire. Yes I know he wasn’t a very good mage but I imagine it’s a lot harder to open a portal between worlds then on the same world.

They probably should have considered all these hidden continents before they added a giant rotating real-time view of the planet in Legion.

Not a globe. Not a hologram. An actual with-your-own-eyes view from orbit. Sit there, watch it go view of the entier planet.

Probably because there is no massive continent and no back of Azeroth.

Just some more islands to be discovered.

The Arathi Emperor has the ability to cast “Retcon”, a 9th level spell which warps reality through space and time to reinvent the past in accordance with future discoveries.

Zoval was particularly adept at this particular spell under the tutelage of Danuser, though his application of it was found quite lacking.

Not a plot flaw.

Clearly the Space Goats never flew to the other side of Azeroth.

That was actually smart of them as they probably would have crashed it. They have a terrible record with their spaceships.

But the planet spins!

It does not.

The same people who say the planet spins are the same people who think Anduin is putting chemicals in the water of Elwynn Forest, turning the Murlocs gay.

I think it’s safe to say we’ll never have a definitive “this is everything, nothing more to find” map of Azeroth, no matter what the source or perspective.

at this point, it would be nice to have a rotating 3-D model of Azeroth where you can just swipe left and right to see all of the continents and look all the way around the planet.

Some empire, they couldn’t even build a boat and sail over to tell us where they were.

Even before then, there was a globe in Ulduar that clearly depicted the two major continents on either side of the globe.

Clearly, instead of doing things like going to the moons, alternate dimensions, other planets, etc. Blizzard is going to keep adding continents that were somehow missed by the planes, boats, and spaceships. Apparently, there’s a whole unexplored sea the size of the pacific ocean; we both know Blizzard will act like it’s half the planet so they can justify 5 expansions lol

Titans had no clue about half the planet apparently.

And the Explorers League only goes out exploring when a new place is discovered lmao

Seriously though, the Alliance has subs. There should be no issue going into that section of the globe with the permanent storm (where the Arathi are likely hidden), as they would be underwater.

They’ll probably jam yet another land mass into the water that “was just recently discovered” despite the fact that it was in the path of our zeppelins and/or boats this entire time.

Don’t know why people make such a big deal about the globe of Azeroth made on the vindicaar. Sorry the devs couldn’t tell the future and know they would be adding a continent to it. :dracthyr_shrug:

Avaloren has been mentioned in the lore now several times. It’s there.

Blizzard will need to combine its greatest hits to not just be a standard repeat.

A huge island we should have seen 100 times with magical mists shielding it from sight, which when we approach it, turns out to be a portal to another world, but the portal is actually not just a portal to another world, but a portal to OUR world, but a different version of our world where history worked out different, and also it goes back in time into that history.

So a parallel-world portal that time travels back on an island hidden by mists. We just don’t have many other options at this point.

To be fair. Pandaria and Dragon isles were the only ones recently (re)discovered. Because they wer eboth being obscured by some form of magic. In Pandaria’s case the literal MISTS of Pandaria obscuring it was dispersed in the cataclysm and in the dragon Isles when the stone boi activated the beacon.

Broken Isles, Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Northrend were all known about even though they didn’t show up in our map in game.

Yeah, the Island Expeditions in BFA made it pretty clear that the Great Sea is just lousy with random landmasses that nobody really bothers looking too closely at. Kinda surprising that the continents were so isolated from each other before the Third War, considering it seems like people could just paddle from island to island to cross lol

I mean we know about Tel Abim and Kezan too and those aren’t on the map yet either (maybe Kezan will be after 11.1)
