Do you think there is life out there in space?

Do you think its possible?

In a universe as monumentally large as ours, I guarantee that not only is there life out there, there is intelligent life out there.

There are almost certainly species out there less advanced than we are, and almost certainly species far more advanced than we are.

The universe is too huge for their not to be intelligent life elsewhere.

I woudnt worry as much, based on human history and behavior it is unlikely the human species will survive destroying their own planet to ever get out and meet other forms of intelligent life.

That is probably a good thing for the rest of the intelligent life on the universe.

If there is they’re staying the hell away from us.

You’re such a pessimist, Ralph.

Cheer up, buddy. The world isn’t that bad.

I’d be more worried for other species capacity for war.

You can make no such guarantee.

The probability is that single-cell life has sprung up many times, but it is quite possible that we, as an intelligent species, are alone.

Possible? Maybe.

At all probable? I’d say the snowball in hell has a better chance.

Yeah, mathematically speaking life is literally everywhere in the universe, let alone intelligent life. You can’t deny this unless you straight up want to believe in a fantasy.

Humans are freaking great at thinking we are important and unique.

It isn’t 1970 anymore bub. Life is everywhere. I would argue intelligent life is everywhere too.

100%, as long as life = living organism and you aren’t talking about human level life

No matter how vast the universe appears, until we actually find life off world, we MUST consider, no matter how improbable, that we MAY be the only life, maybe we are the first.
All these statistics and probabilities derived from how numerous stars are NEVER are definite fact.
The fact is, for now, it’s just us. That should inform our behavior and priorities.

Here’s an interesting video on topic.

You can argue whatever you want, but there is no evidence of civilization out there.

I mean yeah dude, it’s because our potential in exploration and science is unbelievably juvenile.

There was no evidence in Black holes 2,000 years ago. That didn’t make them any less real.

That we have discovered.

But considering we haven’t even explored a fraction of a percent of our own star cluster…

Given the sheer scope of our universe, thinking we’re the only ones is the height of hubris.

Look up the Drake equation.

There’s certainly the possibility of life being out there. The only question is, is there any in our solar system, or in this galaxy at all or is it in one of the other billion galaxies, in some random star system on a lonely goldilocks planet. Is it intelligent or microbial or is it large and animalistic life? Are there any other functional civilizations out there?

I’m willing to bet we probably won’t ever find out.

Without a doubt but given how massive the universe is, we may never actually meet it.

“Space is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.”

I couldn’t resist.
