Do you think it was right for Blizz to take away FTA/FTH emotes for opposing factions?

Originally, when they gave all races /forthealliance and /forthehorde emotes, you could emote from the opposite faction. Of course there wasn’t a soundbite for your orc doing /FTA, but the text would still appear in chat that you were cheering for the Alliance.

A few weeks later, Blizz removed the ability to do that, and the emote comes back as an invalid command.

Now that I’m playing my first Horde toon solely for the vulpera and feeling like a traitor, I wish I could somehow communicate to fellow Alliance players that I am one of them and support them. It would be cute flavor, IMO, to promote that you don’t support your faction’s actions. What, just because I’m an orc I have to be Horde? What if an independent orc decides they don’t like what the Horde stands for? There’s a deeper conversation to be had here, but really, I’m just sad I can’t /forthealliance on this toon.

What they should really do is just allow non-warmode faction players to communicate with one another.

There is that elixir in Dalaran you can buy, but the people you want to talk to have to use it as well.

That’s a THING?

I wish I could communicate cross-faction, so badly. Moreso, I just wish I could choose my faction regardless of race.

You can use Orb of Deception and then use the opposite faction cheer, you freak.

A thinly-veiled “get rid of the factions” thread.

I still want peacemode. BFA has really driven home how silly the damn faction thing is to me.

In the past, like 12+ years ago, I’d be hard against cross-faction communication. Now that the game is as story-driven as it is, a feel the faction barrier, on all fronts, is archaic.
