Or are we going to be permanently stuck with these laggy unresponsive disasters every hour on the dot for 8-10 minutes?
Any time there are more than 30 people in one area the servers have a complete meltdown and ping goes through the roof. It’s kind of crazy, it’s been this way since WoD and they still haven’t fixed it.
I’m betting they won’t fix it and that these mickey mouse cracker jack tickle me elmo servers are going to be what are used until the game is shut down. Which sucks. It was so fun having big world content, and also not having atrocious lag constantly.
I haven’t had any latency anywhere in the game in years, with the exception of some zone lag during the TWW pre-launch event when bosses were engaged (they did fix it after a few days). And with the auction house, which was also acknowledged and fixed recently.
My latency is usually rock solid at 12ms even during Superblooms and things like that. If you’re getting latency it’s not on Blizzard’s end. Maybe you’re running on a potato or have bad internet.
You must not play much. It literally happens every hour on the dot when people are doing the theater event in Isle of Dorn. Either you’re in a different serve cluster such as a dungeon/bg, or are on a different continent.
It’s not a me issue. The theater event happens every hour on the hour. It’s not a coincidence.
Same thing happened in Dragonflight with the cooking event, and whatever that weird rep area was called in the north of that zone with all the elites and the power up things. It would lag the entire server.
once again these are you issues i havnt seen them myself and havnt heard of it from anyone im playing with(and i play with several aussies). so you really need to look into your own stuff.
I suspect that the lag will decrease “magically” on the 10th… Either through changes on the server or the fact that more people will be on instance servers.
