Do you still use flight paths with flying unlocked?

Hey all,

Seeing as many players now have Pathfinder Part 2 earned to unlock flying, I’m curious as to how many of you still use flight paths?

Sometimes I’ll still use flight paths even though I’ve unlocked flying. I’ll use them mostly when I go afk for a couple of minutes or if a World Quest is near where a flight path is.

So how many of you use flight paths if you got flying unlocked?

I do so i can go afk without overshooting my target.

I sometimes still use the Pa’ku totems.

No because that was a major complaint of mine. Flight paths literally rob control of your character. I don’t know about you but I enjoy actually playing the game instead of watching the same fly by scenery while I can literally do nothing.

I do. They’re very slightly faster than 310.

Well yeah. It’s how I troll and WoW at the same time.

Well there’s the one to Mechagon, because that goes over the ocean, plus if I want to go somewhere when I have to do something like run to the bathroom, answer the phone/door/etc, or anything else which takes me away from the keyboard. Other than that, it’s flying all the time because flying is awesome

I use them only for AFK reasons or if I’m only going a short distance and want to read the dungeon guide or collections tab. For longer distances, I’ll fly as high as I can, straight line, hit auto and alt-tab. Mini-view is enabled so I can glance and see where I am generally.

I’ve noticed trying to mount to mechagon from boralus takes WAY longer than the FP so I def use that path.

I do, yeah. If I need to tab out or grab a drink or something I’ll use a FP so that way I don’t mindlessly wander into a mountain or something.

The first time I did the stratholme pet dungeon I took a flight path from twilight highlands to epl so I could put my pet teams together.

It made me take a detour through Arathi highlands and it took forever.

I do. There are times I hop an Uber so I can afk to get a drink, bite to eat or tab out briefly.

Then when I land its fly time.

Mostly just to afk and do something else while flying. Grab a beer, get some food or something like that. Well i guess i use them quite a lot, because i always need a beer.

How else can you land near where you want to be rather them come back dead and further then where you wanted to be from afking num lock flight.

Yes I do. Sometimes I use the FP to go bio, or get a drink, or take the dog out. Sometimes I use it just because I don’t want to fiddle with the movement to go over a mountain. Or I am looking something up on wowhead.

Lol I still use them for that. Use hearth or whistle, jump on a flight and take to dog out.

Flight paths are faster and “usually” more direct.

Yes, I use flight paths.

Bathroom breaks also do that. So I use a flight path.

How often do you go to the bathroom? Would 4 times per 15 minutes be excessive? That’s how many flight paths I’d have to take when I had to slog through emissaries on the ground.

Why wouldn’t someone still use Flightpaths?

To answer the question, yes. You pick a location a couple zone over and use the flight path to get there. Better than setting “autorun” and ending up dead in the ocean beyond a location where you can recover your corpse.

I use flight paths when I’m too lazy to actually fly myself somewhere. The Boralus to Mechagon flight is a great opportunity to get a snack.
