It’s been awhile since I’ve had a good battleground … Ah yes, yes, its been a long time But I still remember every one-to-one face. You remember your first?
For many, as I understand – It’s a quick one. Lucky for you … Mine was some paladin boy, already under the effects of forbearance, at the Battle of Warsong Gulch. I joined the battleground late, we were losing. Two flags down – So I began a rebellion.
I strategised by asking my fellow soldiers to hold the enemy lines, while a three man team of mine snuck into their base, and captured one flag … two flag … We were surprisingly unopposed. I chugged a flask of the Elixir of Tongues to understand the enemy’s shouts, just in case …
On the third flag carry, as I was marching across the field – Our forces started to get pushed back again, so the two with me joined the fray. I was now alone.
My speed took an arrow from a distant hunter that was quickly gripped away – so I was on foot, slogging through the mud. This paladin boy, came running at me on his horse, the dumb high-born lad, thinking he could END the rebellion with a single swing of his sword.
I’d charged him before he could close the distance – I knocked him down with the hammer — GODS, I was strong then … Caved in his breastplate. Probably shattered every rib he had. Stood over him, hammer in the air – Right before I brought it down for the execute, he actually shouted “Wait! WAAAIT!!” {chuckles}
We won the rebellion!
They never tell you how they all crap themselves … They don’t put that part in the songs. Stupid boy. Now on the grounds of the elite, the paladins bend the knee like everyone else He could have lingered on the edge of the battle with the smart boys
I’ll never forget my first kill… It was a damp night in the basement, Cheeto dust on my fingers, mouse shiny with grease, shirt moist due to a foul liquid secreting from my pits.
There bounce around a little rabbit, looking so cute and fuzzy. I lifted my dusty finger, poised for attack and rolled my juicy, yeasty face over my keyboard as I lumbered in for the kill. The rabbit got away, but just so happened to take a moth down with me by sheer luck after lunging for the rabbit.
There I stood victorious and a little wobbly, my first and only kill.
Not my first kill but one of my most memorable vanilla moments was killing one of the cougars in mulgore. Then it got up and started to walk again. I was so confused, and so was everyone else.
On my Paladin back in vanilla, level 24, defending Tiragarde Keep in Durotar against the questing lowbies. Many died.
Unless we’re talking PvE, in which case it was a wolf on my first character, also a Paladin.
I don’t remember my first but my favorite was a rogue trying to sneak up on me in highmountain while I was fishing. I just stood there like bait myself and waited until BAM I turn around and aoe so they are revealed. Lmao they ran so fast. Don’t think they were expecting I’d be paying attention while fishing.
Probably some nelf hunter at Southshore vs Tauren Mill. Seems there was one of those or a rogue everywhere. Mine toon at that time was a Orc Hunter, so… Loved standing on a freezing trap to bait them out of hiding. My friend was on a level 60 rogue, and they usually got gutted.
Most memorable was on my rogue. Couple of numbskulls kept attacking Valley of Trials. One was a warrior, other was whatever. They leveled the place, and then started dueling. Waited for them both to get low on health then ambushed one and backstab+Evis on the other. Both dead, and probably quite surprised.
