The first WoW character I ever created was a Tauren Druid named Xamen on Shadowsong. I leveled up to 30 or 31 before I rerolled on a PvP server, and my human warrior has been my main ever since.
Poor old Xamen hasn’t been played in over 14 years, but he’s still there taking up space on Shadowsong - a relic of times past.
What was the fate of the first ever WoW character you ever created?
mine was a hunter. i just came over from everquest and tried to play the wow hunter exactly like i did an everquest ranger.
i never used ranged attacks unless to pull only melee. and even then mostly only autoattacks as to not “waste mana”
also made it to lvl 25 and never got a pet. didnt even know they could.
decided hunter was the worst class ever designed and went lock. never looked back. lol
Gives a new meaning to “face hunter” to any Hearthstone fans out there lol.

He’s a female nightborne mage now named “Arcanal”
I made an undead rogue named Gilescorey. My cousin told me to play the game with him. I levelled him to 4 then found out the next day he was on the wrong server. So he got deleted then remade on Rexxar.
Gilescorey-Rexxar got most of my played time from then on.
But my first was technically deleted.

made in wotlk and leveled him through dungeons once I got into my first around 20. this was before dungeon finder so…took me about 3 months to get to 80
Mine is a DPS Warrior. They were flavor of the month in Vanilla. But they were totally nerfed in BC. So I switched to a Class that was also flavor of the month in BC… the Hunter Class.
I’m posting on almost the first WoW character I ever created.
The very first was on Argent Dawn, everything else the same, but the server was not playable at the time so I swapped.
Well, kind of… My first character is on retail, made it to 101 before I couldn’t tolerate that garbage anymore, so I had to recreate him in classic.
My first was a rogue. Started in late vanilla…I remember all the talk about AQ. Got her up into her 40’s, juggled a warrior and her at that point until TBC started, then re-rolled a draeni for shaman. Shaman was my first level capped toon, but the other two followed shortly thereafter.
My first ever WoW character was a Human Mage that I got to about level 20 before rerolling a Hunter.
At some point it was deleted since I never played it.
Jenova, night elf warrior. I deleted her ages ago for my hunter who I fell in love with instantly.
I did, it was an undead mage and I still have her. Only thing I had changed was her name when those became available. I keep having a hard time picking a classic toon to play through completely. I keep getting nostalgic for a mage, or a shaman (that was my second toon)… but I really want to try something “new”

my first character was a taurnen warrior took a ton of time to level and I ended up being undergeared at around 45 or so and I took a break and leveled and undead priest. I did go back to the warrior and got to 60 before I finished the priest and the warrior was my main
My first was a gnome mage while playing on my uncles account. When he introduced me to wow, he showed me his lvl 19 gnome mage and pointed to his 1g (and some silver and copper) and said “I have a gold, so you could say i’m rich.” I was so impressed in my 9year old self that I made one just like his and maybe got it to lvl 10 or so. He also let me make a tauren hunter and had me level up his human priest a little bit.
I played on his account and a different uncle’s account in TBC, but didn’t get my own account until WotLK. There I made a gnome mage because it was my favorite, but my two brothers wanted me to roll horde with them so I made a troll hunter and that was my first character to hit max level and do end game content. I played him a bit in Cata and then quit in MoP. He’s currently sitting at lvl 90 retail wow along with other alts I made during those xpacks.
I resubbed to wow in july in prep for classic and logged into him for the first time since MoP. I solo’ed some MC/BWL runs on him and my other alts just to get some old vanilla gear and have fun
I remember everything…except the name.
UD lock. I remember zoning in and immediately being asked to join a guild called the “Warlocks of Necringe”. I had no clue what was going on so I clicked join.
I made it to about lvl 15 before giving up. Deleted and rerolled a rogue who still exists, but is parked at level 60 eternally.
The first ever character I created was banned for map exploiting back in 2005. (I used it to explore the “unfinished” areas - see also: “GM Island” https:// wow. gamepedia. com/GM_Island - not to gain any sort of actual playable advantage). I then re-rolled the same class with a nearly same name and started over and kept that guy until I stopped playing in 09. I caught up my main in 2015. Then stopped playing again until 2018 where I re-rolled and enjoyed my welfare paladin and welfare warrior on a new server. Then I stopped playing again until now.
All my originals and my true first WoW experience were on the realm Sargeras where I was Horde and the Alliance imbalance was massive. Now, ironically, I’m playing alliance on a Sulfuras (which I choose because it was named similarly to Sargeras) but the imbalance is inverted. I know how to pick 'em.
I remember making a Dwarf Hunter and dying in the first zone. The cave lol and couldn’t get out without help haha. Stuck at it until 44 and saw a Warrior decked out in Valor set lol. I was like wow, I want to be that guy. So, I made a warrior and played him Through Wrath. I loved how fluid warrior was in vanilla but not all the diff gear sets I had haha. Great times This was my first MMO as I played FPS prior to wow like Quake and Unreal Tournament
My first character creation was a gnome warrior and he’s still my current main on retail to this day! I also restarted him again on classic.
This was the first character I created, he started on DrakThul in December 2005 and would be considered my main in retail if i had a retail main.
