Do you really want an expansion of the void?

Of course. The Hour of Twilight will be a radical departure from what we’ve basically been experiencing this whole what 6 years of WoW.

It’s not void themed but the whole world remade in the image of the Void. That to me sounds a lot better than the shadowlands.

From the artwork point of view… I would hate this expac so much. SL maw killed my mood so an entire expansion with a dark theme? I don’t know…

Not really, no. :dracthyr_shrug:

Yes I’ve wanted a void/Old God expansion ever since I started playing in BC.

Not at all. Leaving Azeroth to go to another world which will promptly become completely forgotten once the expansion is over doesn’t really appeal to me.

That’s not what the Hour of Twilight is all about. This culminates in either the birth or the death of Azeroth. Probably closest event would be the shattering of Draenor.

And would likely be whatever successor moment “WoW 2” is supposed to be.

That is every expansion tbf

Yes, and I have a huge feeling like the result of such an expacs cosmic scale final battle that hadn’t ever been rivaled in WoWs past and couldn’t be topped would be something like a timeline reset that basically scrubs The Voidlords/Old Gods from having ever existed and comes with a total World refresh of Azeroth as it would’ve been without any of the events brought about by their existence (what I mean is like the finale of the Scooby Doo Mystery Inc show, that kind of timeline reset. We as heroes will still remember those events of OG timeline and so would Chromie to skip us to the original phase version of Azeroth etc. but most other characters in new timeline would’ve never experienced those things and have no way of knowing)

This would be both a great conclusion to the story of the past 30 years of lore, and the perfect foundation for a new beginning. They could introduce tons of new heroes and younger different versions of our beloved favorites as they would’ve ended up in this voidless timeline. Perhaps certain destinies at their core would still repeat for lore reasons (i.e. Illidan having some new, possibly different reason to have created the Illidari for to justify the existence of Demon Hunters in this timeline, Warlock demons not serving under Sargeras but perhaps some other powerful foe with a different reason for being a galactic threat, etc.

There’s just no possible way a Void vs Light expac could culminate in an ending any different than this without either A.) Blue-balling everyone with another “oops the biggest bad escaped! better luck next time!” or B.) The finale ending up as the biggest “jumping the shark” moment in gaming, with no future expac set chronologically in the same timeline as it happened making any sense since the heroes that saved the literal universe couldn’t possibly still struggle against any remotely lesser threat.

Boom mic drop

They’re the only relevant bad guys left in WoW. DF feels hollow because the villains are just made up out of nowhere with no buildup.

I hope they expand on the Mac’Aree storyline and make the next expansion on a different planet. But that might not work with the current devs/budget. Might be safer to do it on Azeroth.

I like the old gods but I hate their aesthetics as far as whole zones would go. The corrupted emerald dream was ugly. Lol but I guess that’s the point but still… I don’t want to be around that long.

Not really… I dislike areas with overly dark lighting.

It’s a huge, huge problem that the writers need to figure out ASAP.

All of this contrived business is driving away customers 100%. Some are deeply engrossed in the story and the last few years have been really, really bad for that.

Well it’s not that my opinion would be biased or anything but I would say yes 100% yes

The Void is the legit reason why this warlock will never be another race

I would love a Void expansion.

Sounds pretty cheap conehead.

If it is written correctly and applied properly, absolutely. Hopes vs reality tho…

It doesn’t matter what it is. You’ll get the intro story which is usually mildly entertaining.

And then nothing for months. Then the story will get told in crumbss with weekly quests. Then told in fits with raid

Then we’ll all complain about how it didn’t live up to any unrealistic standard.

Rinse and repeat forums, rinse and repeat.

Void elves are Forsaken rip-offs in a Blood Elf skinsuit.

I cant see how myself but sure why not

Has a horrible disfiguration forced on them, shunned by their former kin, led by a dark-powered Windrunner who saved them. Sounds very familiar.
