to advance the storyline? I thought Torghast was something that was suppose to be completely optional. If you have to go in there to advance the storyline that doesn’t seem optional. Are the storyline parts like the previous ones that sent you in to Torghast? Those were really simple.

Yes, finding clues of Anduin’s presence is the quest you get for Twisting Corridors. It’s 18 floors and can take a couple hours or more.

Is it like the other previous quests that took you in to Torghast? Those were a dumbed down version of Torghast and were really simple.
No, it’s doing the full 18 floor run. There’s no indication of the amount of time it takes either, which I think is wrong (even though I enjoyed the run). It took over a couple hours to do mine.

1.5 - 2 hours.
Wait until you see there’s some kind of nerf to it. I don’t know if it’s just anima RNG luck or final boss luck, but what I got at floor 18 is a massive roadblock. So it just completely wasted the 2-3 hours I spent clearing everything to max out my anima powers. I’m done with Torghast. I got 4 days left on this sub, I’ll prob check back in 6 months and see how things are then.

Yeah, it’s 3 times as many floors as the rest of Torghast.
Well, yeah, it’s right there in my post how long it took me. I’m saying there’s no indication in the game that tells the player they just signed up for a multi-hour quest.

Always comforting to see reasonable time estimates. Was listening to someone running layer 1 and people in chat were “oh yeah totally dude it takes 20 minutes to run all 18 floors”.

It’s 3x a regular Tower, so normally if you need 30 minutes then assume it’ll take 1.5 hours.

There’s a very good chance it gets nerfed, or at least layer 1 will. Incoming damage ramps up kind of absurdly in this.
Why did they take all the gear/cosmetic rewards out of torghast lmfao… it’s supposed to be optional but in blizzards mind optional now means “if you don’t do this you will suck”.
I’ve done torghast every week… I don’t hate it but it’s definitely not fun or engaging.

Remember when a MMO originally designed as a casual more inclusive MMO alternative to EQ? Well the top 5% got a hold and never let go. Look at who’s making the content now. I’m sure he’s probably texting with his raider buds on who’s gonna complete first and then say well you just need to outgear it. =/
