Do you realize how hard it is to be a tank?

It sounds fun right? Insta queues , easy time walking, blah blah blah. Try doing any content you have to get invited for…… try finding a guild that can fit you in…… try finding friends . It’s basically Impossible…… every guild already has 2 tanks. I try finding a guild for just M+ stuff and they already have regular tanks. It makes me a little sad…… but I’m not leaving lol *** also to note I play ALL the tanks… minus brew so if a guild wanted a specific I could fit their niche

never had trouble finding a group or a pug. Raid or M+.

been in the same guild for awhile so can’t really speak to how hard it is to find one as a tank right now.

I don’t have wow friends …. I pug everything I was even thinking of attempting to make my own guild

Yea trying to get recruited as a tank is not fun. Guess it balance out making it easy to pug. Lot of tanks i know mostly made a guild so they could tank. Lot of time guild masters have been tanks.

The real gaming strategy is to play a Tank for M+ and raid as a DPS.

LUL, tank is probably the easiest of the 3 roles… and the easiest to get in a group with.

Sure, being a tank is hard, but have you ever tried being a scrubby nub? I’ve been scrubanubbin’ for many years and lemmee tell ya jack it ain’t easy.

You just described WoW culture, it’s not tied to any particular role.

It’s a toxic relationship lol

Over the years I’ve witnessed a special breed of “guild tanks”. The ones who really like being The Guy, and go out of their way to discourage anyone else from picking up the sword and board. The ones who “have heard bad things” about that prot warrior that just got recruited.

Not going anywhere with this, but I’m not insane for noticing these people, right? Why do they gotta be like that.

It gets much better trying to find solid guilds if you already have AOTC/KSM experience. However, for many new players, they remain unguilded (in “social” spam invite guilds do not count) or uninvited and it’s sad.

I think they are worried about being replaced or someone doing their role better than them. I assume that they feel special being one of the only doing the tank role in raids. Additionally, people are allergic to having more than two tanks in the raid because everything non-meta is unacceptable nowadays.
