Do you guys read the entire text from the quests you are given, or do you just smash and grab, glance at the objective, and go to the spot on the map?
I understand not reading the quests if you’ve done them before, but what about when you are doing the quests for the first time? I had (and sometimes still do have) a bad habit of skipping the text of the quest. When I slow down and read it all, I have a bit more appreciation for what I am actually doing…and sometimes I have deleted the quest.
I do. Questing is pretty boring without context, that’s why it’s such a pain to level alts.

Though I did accidentally end up as someone’s “questing buddy” in the beginning of BFA I’m not even sure how don’t ask, and he had add on to auto click the quests and was rushing me and it gave me anxiety so instead of just telling him I didn’t wanna quest with him anymore I unsubscribed and went to SWTOR oof.
First time yes. Except on my blood elf character as auto pilot has me going through the Forsaken quest line and I absolutely hate the Forsaken
I’m not sure I’ve read any quest text in any of the MMORPGs I’ve played, ever. I just click and go. Cutscenes? Escape.
First time through or if I haven’t done the quests in a super long time.
In general I read quests fully first time around, when it’s been a while, or when it’s the quests starting with “Welcome to the Machine”.
no lol, because 95% of quest text is pretty pointless and worthless lore wise

No, since majority of quests are kill x amount of things so my brain is turned off
I read them entirely the first time through on the Main, then i skip / breeze through them on the alts…
… especially taking my slow A time when the expansion drops and i see everyone flying past, i’m usually the one stopping to smell the flowers and enjoy the atmosphere, visual effects and the care that the devs put in.
Better yet, i’ll sometimes put in a bug report when i spy a typo in the quest text!
No, unless something is going on with the quest that piques my interest. Most quest text is vanilla justification for “bring me 10 bear butts”.
I use an add-on that makes my quests more interactive so I def read the first play through but not the other times as I know what it’s about.
When unlocking Vulpera, I definitely was getting 1 quest item at a time for a moment. That’s when I decided to read it…
In general, I skim it. Mainly just look at the objective.
Rarely. I usually grab them all then charge off. Generally the only time I read them is if I charge off then realize there is more to it than kill 10 of these or grab 10 of those.

Yeah but then you get times like the vulpera recruitment quest and how people thought you had to kill a crap ton of wolves when you’re supposed to make the wolves bigger to get more meat. It was wolves or some other beast
