Another pinky here for control & shift, I can’t imagine the strain of trying to use my thumb to press control or shift on any regular basis, alt is fine
Yeah for sure; my interrupt is on my mouse button immediately under my thumb for quick access!

My thumb is crying out in pain for yours.
Pinky for CTRL, my thumb can only go as far as Alt.
My pinky is as strong as all the other fingers - maybe it’s a piano thing?
Oh also, my thumb is on the spacebar for optimal jumping.
My next mouse will likely have programmable buttons. I’m still waiting to build a new computer if my new video card would ever ship. 
Because (for me) it’s already pretty much there.
is how my hand normally rests on the keys except more arched and my pointer rests on the F key. For me to hit CTRL with my thumb I’d either have to move my entire hand off the keyboard or do a goofy contortionist level of stretching under my palm.

I use the top-left part of my palm – the spot right before my pinky. To hit ctrl I tilt my hand to the left a little bit and I have my middle, ring, and pointer fingers still on the num keys.
The drawback is that I’m limited to stopping my binds at the 5 key since I can’t reach further while keeping my palm in that spot. The upside though is I can have easily accessible ctrl-1 through ctrl-5 keys.
I basically do anything I can to keep myself from contorting my hand away from 1-5. I play arenas and I need the reflexes to be there. Using my pinky for anything lower than shift moves my entire hand in an awkward twist.
Thumb is the ultimate violation lol idk how you do that, you have to remove your entire hand from the keyboard 0.0

Pinky…I can’t even imagine using thumb… Thumb is always near spacebar
my action keys are qertcfg12345 and then I use f1-f4,6-0 for pet
I use my mouse buttons as modifiers too. Basically never use key ctrl for wow.
I do ctrl, alt and space with my thumb. It’s apparently a well-trained thumb. Kind of like playing a piano or typing, the thumb just knows where the ctrl and alt keys are without looking. I only use the ctrl key with 1 and 2 keys on the keyboard. others that I use on the control action bar are infrequently used and can be clicked. Same with the alt action bar.

I’m just trying to wrap my mind around why you’d use anything but your pinky… You’d have to fully lift your hand, or twist it abnormally to even use CTRL as a modifier if not using your pinky, thus negating the whole benefit of a keybind. May as well just click it then.

I use my tail.
I only have 4 ctrl binds and i use pinky. But rarely use those now a days since I stopped pvping.
I hit it with my nose

Keyboard turners!!
Ctlr/shift/alt are bound to my side mouse buttons. I use my right thumb for all of them.
