I used to play it in 4k but recently upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor and 3070, now I play all games in 2k. Don’t notice a difference tbh, rather have higher frame rates.
1080p 120hz
I play on a nokia 1.5 x 1.5 monocrome screen. I think it’s 20x20 pixels.
Next I will stick a HDMI cable into a potato and see how that works.
This.
One of the biggest mistakes I find people are making when they complain about frame rate is they have their MSAA on. If you are playing at 4k, you don’t need AA at all.
You can actually drop the resolution super low in the options and it makes the game get a somewhat retro, pixel art look. It’s kinda neat, should try at least once.
It’s 1440 not 2k…for the love of god.
I play at 4k 60fps - vega 56 eGPU connected to a 2019 MacBook pro 13
MAC?
I’d rather play on my Commodore 64.
For wow anything more than 1920x1080 is meaningless to me.
I’m playing on a 27 inch iMac at 5K with mid settings and I’m getting around 60 FPS. There may have been something wrong with your PowerBook.
I play at 4k with a i9-9900k and 2080 Super. Will eventually get a 3080.
720 with a Render scale of a 73%
i play it at 720 because this game isnt impressive at all no matter how much u max your settings
rather use my 2k monitor for something worth looking at…
like anything else really
gpu: 5700 XT
cpu: Ryzen 5600x
2K
I get 144 FPS at max settings because I cap FPS at 144 for my monitor.
16k 240hz
gpu: Voodoo 2 will eventually get a Voodoo 3
cpu: AMD K6-III+
I’m in shock that most of you play only in 4k! Very sad.
WoW don’t need too much to run in 16k.
I think most of you need upgarde computers.
I expected someone to be playing it on their phone
Srsly talking…
We are limited on resolution because monitor and GC or with a good GC we can improve even the monitor being bad?
Because… I bought a new GC, but my screen is old… nver got able to go 60+ fps
i would like to know the k’s on a red potato.
I play modern WoW at 2560x1440 because that’s what I can get a solid 60 with on my machine, but I play Classic at 5120x2880 (5k) 60FPS since it’s so much less demanding on both CPU and GPU.
Can’t wait for it to be practical to play modern WoW at 5120x2880, because with a 27" screen at that resolution the pixels are small enough that antialiasing is entirely unnecessary. It also lets you see details much further out into the distance.
