Hello! Just curious, do yalls make your alts the same race as your main or switch it up with other races?
I like playing night elves on alliance and blood elves on horde because I like the elf lore the most but I also like orc and draenei lore.
Do you play a certain race for the the ability they get or because you like how they look or what their lore is?

Only play nelves seriously. I mean why wouldn’t you?
I like the lore of the Night Elves I just wish Blizz was a little more respectful of what they’ve built.
I do have a hooman pally and a gnome, but eh.
I switch it up, have just about every race, but I have regrets of rolling a panda. I want to race change her to Kul Tiran, but it costs too much money, so she’ll stay a panda for now.
I would add another question…do people also play both genders too? I have both males and females and play both.

I have every race on both sides. I also have one of every class aka I have a Tauren shammy on horde and a dwarf shammy on ally.

I play almost anything for alts, just depends what I’m in the mood for. I do have some favorites I go to a lot, but I’m pretty open to most races across both factions. With a few exceptions I never play.
Usually I get a character concept of some sort in my head and roll with the race that fits it.
Class racial requirements make me switch it up but I’m kind of glad they do tbh. I like playing things like an orc shaman and tauren druid, races I might not have touched otherwise. I might make a second druid just to have a ZTroll too, their forms are out of this world.

I make it a point to level and play all classes and all races.
No exceptions save some gender/combos.
About half my chars are male, other half female.
I like variety.
Dark iron warrior
Human pally (yup come at me BRUH)
NE druid (male)
NE DH (female)

I play almost exclusively night elves because shadowmeld is just too strong in M+ to go any other direction.
In my head, I yearn to have an alt of every race so I can one day get all the heritage armors.
BUT.
I play my Dark Iron Shaman 95% of the time, and my Dwarf Hunter the other 5% mainly for hunting mail xmogs for raids I’ve already done for the week on my shaman.
I have some 18 alts all under level 60.

I have a high mountain Tauren Alt?
Does that count? I don’t really make alts very much, I’m terrible at leveling.
My main has been this night elf since day one. Alts have been varied races, usually determined by their class and the race I feel matches up best with it. I have a draenei mage, a worgen warlock, a human pally, etc.
My characters are pretty exclusively female. I’ve made male characters and couldn’t retain any interest in playing them.
I favor Draenei. Mostly due to lore. I don’t play a race for their racials.

A bit of every race and class but they’re all male.
If I could play a pandaren warlock/Dk/Paladin/etc I would have those alts race changed in a heartbeat.
Most of my alts look the same and have the same name (baring a few accents over vowels). Pandamonea is my avatar to the extent everyone in my guild just calls me ‘Panda’

Yeah… I’m an altoholic who loves ALL the races of Azeroth! <3
Also, you may have noticed that Elves are my favorites! <3
I roleplay.
One does not roleplay just one race you good.
I like to try new races when I make a new character. I have everything on Horde except the cows or ztrolls.
I love my warlock so I’ve race changed a few times to keep things fresh. I really like Goblin now.
I primarily play dwarves but I have a pandaren waiting for me to finish Pathfinder. I’d play a Tauren if they were Alliance side. Most of my friends, and gold, is on Alliance so I don’t feeling like playing Horde all too often. I definitely look forward to playing a Kul Tiran. They have the look of the humans I played in D&D. Back then I played a lot of different races.
Majority would be Blood Elves on the horde and Night elves in the alliance. Shamans are the only ones who are an orc or Draenei.
