I honestly see a big divide between players that do and players that don’t.
I personally do not. Although I have been tempted once or twice.

I used to use a few like Deadly Boss Mods, the mail one, the AH one, Recount, etc. Gladius is helpful for PvP.
My turnaround point was installing an addon that called out every cooldown someone used in arena. It was then I realized excessive addons actually make you a worse player and dull your senses.
Now I only use Details! because DPS is more important than anything. Even more important than surviving.
Minimal UI addons, only mapster and sexymap. The rest are raid essentials like dbm and gtfo, and then rare tracking addons like silverdragon and rarity.
Rematch for Pet Battles is absolutely essential or I’d be pulling my hair out.
I do of course. This default UI causes me pain to see. It’s so ugly looking. Gryphons on each end using valuable screen space for no reason…bleh
As a healer the only 2 addons I use are DBM and Clique.
Oh, absolutely.
I use minimal addons I’d say.
DBM and DPS meters but no UI changes or backpack modifiers.
kinda have to. default UI is very lackluster.
i try to be as minimalist as possible but no addons at all really doesn’t feel good.
I do, they make it so you can focus more on the class and the fight you are in. Plus details for the big numbers . And cool uis.
I’m very casual these days so i use very few addons, never been a really big fan of them anyway. For the most part i just use stuff like WQ tracker or stuff to help my target rares for things i want.
I have a few,
I have to have an action bar replacement like Dominoes
Most of the addons I use a QoL addons like Handy Notes, and ui addons.
Tukui for ui replacement.
Details! for my dps characters.
Decursive and Healer Protection for my healers.
And it seems like WeakAuras could be very helpful in some encounters but I’m too lazy to look it up. Shame.
I use weakauras, DBM, SUF, dominos, and, most importantly, details.
This game is unplayable without addons.
UI Addons, certainly – bartender, scrap, bagnon, unitframes. I’m not an endgamer so I skip the typical endgame mods like DBM and Details and so on, but I very much prefer to mod the UI with addons. Base UI in the game is … not good.
I do, but not a lot of them. Definitely no mouseover or custom UIs.
For raids/dungeons I only use DBM and GTFO, nothing else (and Skada, but that’s mostly to see if people are actually doing stuff as they claim).
I use nothing for healing/tanking (the only two specs I play on my main).
Then I have the ones for QoL like to automatically sell junk, Narcissus, Titan Panel, Rarity.
I try to not rely too much on addons because I hate having to wait for them to be updated to play after a patch.
My friend used a custom UI that looked pretty good, but he could not play without it and after every patch it always took a few days for it to be updated (it wasn’t a big one like elvui that is updated quickly) and he had to wait, so I kind of decided against custom uis for that.
I don’t use any add-ons. Back when I was hunting Loque’nahak on my Orc hunter, I used the add-on that sets off an alarm when a rare spawns. Something like a foghorn would suddenly bellow and your screen would flash. After I almost had a couple of heart attacks, I removed it.
I’m pretty minimal in my addon usage, clique is pretty much the only one I “need” and even then I could get by with macros.
The default UI is godawful atrocious, so yes, I do.
