My gf wants to play wow but her comp doesnt have enough space for retail so we are gonna just play classic.
I have an account but she has to make one so im wondering does she have to buy wow retail to gain access to classic or does she just need to make an account and add game time to it?
I really wish I didn’t need to pay for a full retail WoW subscription to play classic. The $15 cost for the subscription is used to pay for development of retail. Classic is already developed and doesn’t warrant paying that price. It should be $5 just to pay for a classic subscription. You would get a huge number more people subscribing to classic if it wasn’t $15.
Okay tyvm. Yea i think classic is better for her to learn since she doesn’t play video games much on pc yet alone mmorpgs. Plus she is using a super old macbook air so were just trying to update the os but it only has 120gb max.
Xzzy, you are not paying for a retail subscription. The fee is for all WOW content. You are correct though in that is Classic had a lower subscription rate there may be more people coming back
It’s semantics really. They force you to pay for both and since retail existed before classic they were able to say stuff like “Classic is free with your wow subscription”. So really it is a retail wow subscription with “Free” classic according to Blizzard. I want the option to not support retail WoW at all.
This part. No requirement to ever install BfA (which is the default client level). That said, expanding her hard drive is probably a good plan, if you want to make sure she’s able to truly get invested.
I dont think she will play much just when im not over. Its basically just for her school and other things. I told her id help her build one but i dont think she likes sitting at a desk for long. She got back issues
