Do You like moonkin form?

Do you like it? I wanted to play one due to how the arcane visuals look, I think it looks amazing but being a fat Bird all the time… it’s boring.

But even worse being a blue Ghost which looks terrible. I wish druid had the option to not use any form or at least have more customization options.

then why play druid? the whole point of druid is shapeshifting and being one with nature, if you don’t use any form then you aren’t a druid just a wannabe, a poser.

Most answers you will get will be “druid is supposed to shapeshift, play another class”. But I actually agree with you. You shouldn’t be required to use a shapeshift form to cast magic. It makes sense to shapeshift to use feral abilities with tooth, claw, and wing. But Druids casting spells in Balance or Restoration makes perfect sense in humanoid form. Even Warcraft 3 Druid units were Night Elf form and weren’t required to turn into Moonkin. At least make it optional like the current Treant Form cosmetic shapeshift is right now. They most likely won’t, but it would sure be nice.

I hope they add more forms as time goes on.

I use the glyph of stars, and while I prefer that over moonkin form because I hate it, I wish there were other colors or options for the stars glyph.

It grows on and you begin not to care when you realize how versatile and convenient it is to play a druid.

I used to only like feral a long time ago.

No, I use glyph of stars. I’ve always wanted some way to visually pop in and out of forms as part of a combat rotation instead of sitting in them all the time. As such resto is the only spec that really fulfills Druid fantasy for me.

I usually use Glyph of Stars, but I miss the original appearance of the glyph before they put this blue overlay on it.

I don’t mind moonkin form but I wish we had other bird options and more color options for moonkin.

Maybe an option to look more like Malfurion?

I don’t mind the form soo much other then Visually it feels like you move slower then if you are in Normal form…unless you play an already Large Caster like one of the Cows. Then you probably don’t notice a difference.

Used to be worse when you couldn’t customize it

honestly i hate it

thankfully i got the glyph so i can play as my transmog’d character with a cool starlight effect.

I use glyph of stars when in balance spec but for the others i left it as the chicken while it was an option.
In small doses (the other 3 specs) its fine and with the customization added in DF you could make some fun ones.

Would love some more glyph or customization option for it though, at the very least a glyph of sun to go with all the other druid of the flame themeing.
A grand arrakoa rigged version for the non-zandalari would be nice and somethig thats been asked for since shrivallah form in Wod.

I’ve never liked it. I’ve used glyph of stars practically forever because of it. A different form would definitely be nice. What type of form? Honestly I don’t know. Just something that’s…not moonkiny I guess?

Balance druids were originally based off Druids of the land in Dungeons of Dragons. Druid spells for balance were originally more nature focused and less stars/sun/moon. Things like Nature’s wrath, entangling roots, insect swarm etc (which was also sometimes resto.)

Circle of Land druids in DND do have the ability to shapeshift, but they primarily stay in their humanoid form to fight. Their animal forms are typically only used for mobility, scouting, or for a bit of tankiness.

Sometime eventually though balance druids got reworked to be about the sun, stars and the moon, so it now more closely resembles Circle of the Stars from DND. They do have a shapeshift, however their form just appears as if their body is made of stardust and glowing. Kind of similar to the blue glyph option. They do not turn into moonkin at all.

Their bodies in DND are supposed to have visible constellations and glow. This is what I would like to see added as a glyph option for balance druids, it would be beautiful.

We have more options in terms of skins and effects than we have in the past, we even have the old classic form so yeah I love it. If your lucky enough do the dragon flight final raid to obtain the orange red smoke like skin with the orange flame look it’s sick.

I love being a boomkin and i love the bird form. Its very unique and funny. I understand those who like to use the glyph of stars, but if i want to cast spells without being transformed i would Just play with my mage or my warlock

Never been completely sold on the moonkin form, but I do have the fire boomchicken appearance on my druid and its pretty cool.

What they should do, imo, is give Keeper of the Grove an actual Keeper / Dryad form.

Also a Malfurion type form.

And a glyph option to stay in base form instead of just the blue glyph.

Easiest W’s right there

Yeah! I love it. A Malfurion-like form would be nice, though.
