This is with Demonic talented. I have been holding blade dance if eye beam is going to come off cd in 6 seconds but I was not sure if this is optimal. Question is about mythic+ environment.
yeah i do. always try to fit 2x blade dance in a demonic window
No. I do the other way around. I hold eyebeam for blade dance.
You need to consider the cast time of eyebeam, and that meta is basically halving the remaining cooldown with all the haste at that point. So i will hold an eyebeam a couple seconds if the cooldown of blade dance is going to be about 3 seconds shortly.
Blade dance doesn’t have a long cooldown and is a big part of your damage profile with first blood, so you want to be mashing it on cooldown AS WELL as trying to get two of them in during your demonic window.
It’s not worth sitting on for 6 seconds.
You also hold eyebeam a few seconds to line up a hunt correctly anyway if NF so it’s not like strange behavior
I mean it’s uncapped aoe. Better to use it when you got more things to hit than wait for meta and hit less things for slightly more damage. I practically use it on CD. Annihilate can be used if death sweep isn’t up.
As the above poster said, better to hold eye beam a few seconds to get two blade dances in meta window. Im finding 17% base haste is not quite enough. Might need 18-20. Anyone know the exact number to reliably get two death sweeps in the 6s meta window?
I find 18 to be the bare minimum where you can and you need to have the fury and a free global ready at the end of the demonic window or you’ll miss it.
I like to opt for higher haste because it smooths out both resource generation, and the demonic window, making it easier to get two in. This may not be the most optimal, but it feels good and is easier to work with. I like to sit more in the 22-24% range if i can help it.
I would probably opt for less if i were using blind fury and insatiable hunger instead of felblade and demon blades
If you run first blood no. 2 seconds cuz Blind Fury will give you time to use it right after.
