Do you have too many valorstones?

Send (laugh) veteran-track gear to your alts so they can run delves and replace that gear the same day.

I think veteran gear is fine for valorstones. Veteran gear is perfect for getting your character in a state where you can clear T8s easily, so this feels like it’s a good stepping stone to make alt gearing even smoother.

Personally I wish I could just transfer my valorstones over, but this is fine too.

Should be Champion track at that cost.

You think so? I don’t know about champ gear at that level for that cost. You’d basically be able to purchase normal raid ilvl gear without much effort, and getting valorstones is pretty easy, and that means skipping doing T8 Delves and normal raids entirely just by stocking up currency rather than doing the activity itself.

I think 350 per 584 piece is a bit high. You can make a spark for 250 valorstones, and turn that into 619+ crafted gear.

Guess I didn’t think of that, but isn’t that limited to like two pieces?

You get 1x enchanted runed crest per renown you reach 24 on, plus the free one you get from story-mode Ansurek (that one is once-per-account though).

Maybe if valorstones weren’t capped, so we had 10k or more banked on mains, 350 per piece to alts wouldn’t be bad. But with the cap in place, thats 5 pieces overall before you need to farm up more valorstones.

Normal raid isnt alot of effort though either, zerg and gooo

But sparks have a hard cap, you can farm stones until the servers break down.

I think it’s reasonable for alts.

Plus Veteran’s a minor speedbump to Champion because of how Adventurer-track upgrades work. I don’t think the cost in stones is worth it. Maybe drop the price, keep it at Veteran, and make it so you can pick the slot vs. gambling for what might ultimately be a sidegrade that’s replaced by your next Delve piece.

Are sparks not on catch-up yet? I figure a new character/alt would just keep getting fractures until they catch up. How many full sparks are we at now?

You might be right, I didn’t think about that cap.

The randomness does make it a huge gamble.

Yeah, but I thought you’re limited to only two crafted pieces per character. It’s not like you can craft a full set of 619 gear, right?

Yeah, I know it’s not a lot of effort, but I think it’s probably better to get people to play that content instead of just skipping it. I feel like encouraging people to do LFR less and Normal mode more would be a net positive for the game.

But I don’t really have much in the ways of data to show if it’d actually be good for the community or not, so I’m mostly spitting at the wall.

Yeah, I could see that working better. I REALLY miss the days back in Legion where Nethershards could let you target the slot you actually wanted. I could definitely see it being a better option for alts - I guess I’m more concerned about an entire raid tier being rendered irrelevant for an entry-level raider, y’know?

Less people running normal means it’s harder to learn heroic and transition into that tier. I think that’s mostly what I’m concerned about.

It’s 2 embellishments.

You’re limited to 2 embellishment crafted items. You can make as many non-embellished as you want, provided you have the sparks available.

I’m not sure. This week makes it 6 I think.

I don’t think skipping normal raids is too big an issue for players who understand you still need to learn mechanics and the best way to do so is through normal before progressing to Heroic. But that also assumes most players have a functioning sense of self-awareness, so I don’t know.

Also, yes, I miss targeted catch-up purchases. Blizzard’s annoyingly inconsistent. Some vendors in DF (like the Dream dust ones) let you buy for specific slots, but then the DF dungeon vendor catch-up box was random.
