If so why?
I have one of everything but priest at max but priest is boring.
Im bored with end game so thought about leveling again, but cant seem to justify having like two warriors. Like itd feel weird to gear them both out

Warrior is probably the only thing I’ve ever had multiple at level cap before
I liked how little downtime they had

I have a level 60 of every class on both factions. I did this just incase i felt like playing something else.

I have multiples of every class except deathknights.
Different specs, different factions, etc. I like variety.

Sometimes I make new alts to replace certain alts that I still have sentimental value towards and don’t wanna just delete.
This happened with my hunter, paladin, rogue and death knight. The rest of the multiples were just something easy I could play and shut my brain off while unlocking Heritage Armor sets

Yes, here’s why:
Sometimes I find that playing a different spec requires a different character entirely for my brain to differentiate the two properly.
Example: I have both an Enhance Shaman and an Ele Shaman. My ele is a DI.
I’ve done the same for mage, DK, hunter and warrior so far. I may or may not create a few others. Considering a second Warlock, maybe.

I have two Mages with almost identical names.
Why?
One is Horde and the other is Alliance and I love the name I gave them.

Yes But on different servers . There are 4 - Wariya 
i have two rogues. one horde one alliance. she is my only horde char so far.
I have like 6 Shamans. 3 Hunters. Several Rogues. Couple Mages.

Multiple Druids and Warlocks on both factions. Having a hard time deciding which of 4 Druids I want to run through DF first.
I personally have at least one of every class at 50+ for each faction. Some classes, like Shaman, I have five of because I leveled a few of the allied races as Shamans because it’s my favorite class.

Gearing randomness, you never want to only run 1. The only people that really can are the ones who are spearheading funneling groups. Playing the normal way with one character you may never gear fast enough to do heroic or mythic until much later on in the patch. Rated Battlegrounds and Arena ratings chasers also need gear asap.
7 level 60 holy paladins
45 holy paladin (my main from legion before i decided i hated legion holy changes)
39 holy paladin (WoD lvl 99 twink, bis)
35 holy paladin (my mop main, SoO mythic + lego cape)
32 holy paladin (my old level 85, the character i have the highest /played on)
27 holy paladin (my old 70, grandfathered sunwell twink)
29 holy paladin (modern 29 twink, glorified bank alt)
My entire account is basically just paladins on my character screen. I wish i could have them all on one server/screen without losing names

I do, I have a couple Druids and a couple Monks.
The 2nd Druid was made strictly to be a gathering toon, back when my main was a Druid.
When I flipped from maining Druid to Monk at the end of BfA, I already had a Monk but had never played it much, so I wanted to get as much practice as I could to get used to it and made a fresh Monk for that reason. Also leveling up from scratch gave the heritage armor, so there’s that.

I have at least 2 of every class and 3 or 4 of others. I don’t raid or group so I level alts and quest. And I know it’s an Mmo. Good point, don’t care.

I actually enjoy the speed of leveling, it’s fast enough that whenever I get a new RP character idea I can just go for it. Currently I’m leveling a Lightforged Draenei Hunter as part of a group rping as space pirates
Not even I can tell you why I have 3 level 60 Warriors as well as 2 more at 50 and 53, though. And the only reason I’m even aware of that is because I just ran SWP on all of them (and my 55 Hunter and 2 Rogues) yesterday to try and get Thori’dal for my new Hunter
