wpvp is back and more active than it has been in a while so it’d be fun to see how people individually decide what’s a worthy target. How do you handle having a bounty on your head?
Myself, I have a simple policy of “Kill Once Then Move On” unless I’m either doing something like World Quests in which case I will only attack if attacked OR if I just got done being farmed and flagged in which case all will be victims of my impotent salty wrath.
If I catch a bounty while alone then I tend to just accept my fate since Alliance are pack hunters but it’s always fun to see if I can get a kill or two before I go down. If I’m in a party then it’s Happy Hour at Shenanigans and we don’t stop till we’re dead or we ALL have bounties.
I don’t use lame bugs and interactions like toads/leech and cringe raid trinkets/HoA
Flag of ownership any idiot using those things and still losing
I generally just avoid wpvp entirely because it’s mostly all bfa trinket that did uncapped damage instantly from killing level 5 mobs was such peak pvp
I don’t kill players substantially lower than me or worse geared than me.
I only kill someone multiple times if they’ve been hassling me throughout the day, or if I recognize their name as someone that’s displayed poor sportsmanship before.
The biggest group I’ll run in is a group of three with my friends and we don’t make a habit out of 3v1ing other players.
I’ve rarely had a bounty, but in the instances I have I just accept the roaming Horde death squad whenever it inevitably comes. Can’t do much when it’s just you vs everyone in the zone that wants the free honor.
When I’m out doing wpvp, everything dies. When I am out farting around fishing or questing, you engage me, I fight back. I don’t hit like a wet noodle anymore.
If they are 66 above and will grant me a bloody token if I kill them, they are dead. If I kill you once while I’m questing in an area and you decide to retaliate, then it’s on and I will continue to kill you while I’m questing in the area. I like to hide in the shadows while you visit the quartermaster, lay a trap, and end your existence. =p
I do 68+, and in S2, I will only do 70s because the gear will be higher ilvl. If someone is afk I leave them alone, if someone is afk by a cliff, I will knock them off.
But a few years back, I’d hunt down and camp people for as long as possible. But they were always my level or at least 3 below. I didn’t camp lowbies. lol
I dont attack unless attacked first. Usually ends with me open palm slapping them into the dirt.
One time this warrior landed on me from his mount and we fought. I won. He rezzed and did a /bow which I returned. Those are good interactions.
Of course then you have the constant a-holes, Rogues and Ferals, that attack anything that moves. They get no /bow when I slap their asses like their parents should have .
It’s on site with anyone my level. I wouldn’t attack people with huge gear discrepancies but it’s hard to tell since people with PvP gear don’t show their full HP until attacked. If a lower level hits me though I don’t mind doing an Anakin cosplay.
I’ll stick around if I win the first fight to see if they want to fight again. I won’t attack again unless I see them starting to cast or attacking me.
I kill once and move on unless they try to get me back. If they do that, well… I’m a rogue so I make them heavily regret that decision. Also, if somebody tries to kill me while I’m half HP with a quest mob, they are getting camped.
It depends on my class and mood, but typically if I’m playing on a fully geared overtuned spec - I kill someone once and then leave them alone. Unless they call their friends, then its over when they log or I’m dead
