Rogue will always be the best class.

I cannot stress enough how valuable the ability to only have to fight quest objectives instead of every living thing between point A and point B is.

No, I don’t and I desperately want one. When will I ever settle down and play something for more than one season, let alone expansion?

For me, it is Feral Druid…
and oddly enough, I play it about 1/8th of the time I spend…

I’m that odd duck that just enjoys playing around with all the classes and races, I have an alt of every class on both sides of the border…

But Feral druid… when I log on and play… it just comes naturally…

Restoration Shaman followed by Protection Warrior are my two to go classes in fantasy games. I prefer playing healer and tank classes the most, but when I came back to World of Warcraft, some toxic groups made me switch to Enhancement.

I’ve tried the other healing classes but just never reverberated with me. I know some people like druids because they can DPS, heal and tank by shapeshifting, but like monk and rogue I just can’t get into those classes.

Destro Lock since 08. If im not playing a warlock i’m playing a devoker.

Meh in the past I wish I could more easily answer this question but it’s hard to put a pretty ribbon on it.

Right now I’m playing a Demo Lock (well the lock is main and I’m really all specs as I feel more like it’s a class not a spec compared to other classes?), Survival Hunter and Fury Warrior. Demo Lock/Survival Hunter is fun to play in Delves… Fury Warrior I struggle a bit more on for some reason but it’s easy to play and I like the rotation.

I’ve never been a good druid… Warlock felt more second nature to me than Druid ever did. Same with healing Priests kinda… when I play Druid, Priest or Mage I always forget to use my defensives properly it’s so annoying. But I rarely have that problem with my Hunter or Lock for some reason it’s weird. ((and Warrior too most of the time)) And Mages I kind of like but not really, as their defensives are powerful but harder to use and take more skill. Survival of the Fittest/Fortitude of the Bear/Dark Pact/Undying Resolve just feel more comfortable to use to me than Ice Block or Alter Time or Greater Invisibility yuck. And I always forget you can use Mirror Image as a defensive too lol.

As a default I don’t seem to like classes with bad self healing or without self healing buttons but I mean what class is really that nowadays? And for whatever reason I prefer greater self heals + ease of defense use as opposed to greater mobility. Caring about tankiness is kind of a spook because in real hard fights everything just one shots you anyway, and you still have to work and use them correctly even if you have more defensives than other classes. With that said, Shaman feel way too squishy even though their self-rezz is a pseudo-defensive. Everything about Shaman has felt gimpy to me even when they are OP and strong in e-sport content.

I’m always jealous of Paladin’s bubble but would I really main a Paladin just for that one skill? It’s the only thing I like about Paladins… and I don’t like anything else about them or their theme. I’d also probably forget to use it like I do Priest’s desperate prayer. Why the hell do I always forget Desperate Prayer exists? lol.

For me, it’s mage. I’m not necessarily good at it but I’m addicted to the teleport.

I’ve not played Mage seriously since Legion. But every once in a while I will log it just for fun and it’s like I never left.

I also have Mage muscle memory. I could be on my Lock or Hunter and go to Blink, or Frost Nova lol.

But Mage isn’t my go-to anymore. I really enjoy DoTs. So classes that have like Poisons, Bleeds etc. are my jam. That’s typically whatever the “dark” magic caster is though, so like Warlock.

Mage, to the point that I basically quit doing any remotely challenging group content altogether for a decade instead of rerolling when the class started getting saddled with stuff I found unfun like Rune of Power (both versions) and hyper-condensed cooldown bursting.

Though now it’s left me so out-of-practice and unfamiliar with the pacing of dungeons that I’ve been struggling hard trying to get myself to reintegrate. Anxiety is a cruel master.

Hunter. It was my first class i made in vanilla and I have an absurd number of hunters now lol I just enjoy playing them.

I love resto druids. My druid was my main since wrath but I quit raiding and doing dungeons because I didn’t enjoy healing anymore. I preferred old school healing And I think healing is stressful in pugs. I quit in warlords of draenor and I don’t even know how healing is these days but I’ve heard it involves dpsing too which isn’t my thing.

I play resto druid in cata though and am raiding and hope to continue on in MOP as well.

For me, it’s pretty much a tie between rogue and warlock.

Yeah, Paladin. I mean, I will complain when I have to, like I did about Prot when the xpac came out, but I always make it work somehow.

It was MM hunter- but I don’t think this is going to work out in the future. I currently have alt of every race that is a MM hunter, with the current way the class is, I can do the class blindfolded.
I won’t engage in arguments about the proposed changes to MM Hunter, I just made a statement.

I just got into feral! I think I enjoy it? My gear is all Resto so I know my dps will be trash, but it’s just queue for me usually or open world for my Druid so I don’t mind.

Do you find it viable for mythic plus and delves? I’d love to venture as a dps on this char and neither kitty or chicken ever held my attention.

I mean, I’ve mained Shadow for 20 years now.

I’ll play plenty of alts, and sometimes one of them will get more focus for a while, but this character is always the first to do new content and events.

I hope you can still enjoy your MM! I was weary of some Resto changes as TWW rounded the corner, but am still feeling great about the class.

It’s always nerve racking when they start to make big changes, so I do hope the best for your spec as a fellow MM fan since Cata.

I pretty much only heal so I will answer best I can. I rotate between:

Preservation Evoker
Resto Druid
Holy Priest

Each has strengths and weaknesses -

Druid is great when a group doesn’t need tons of healing because you can do good active damage. The problem comes into play when you’re running higher M+ keys and you have to have lots of sustained healing throughput, you’re pretty much using all your GCDs to throw out hots. You also pretty much only have one major “oh crap” button in Convoke - otherwise you just have to pop all your treants and use your stronger rotational spells. APM is high and heal spells thrown out are quantity over quality. Bear form is a decent defensive but it’s not something that can persist while you heal. Mana is not too much of an issue, but it can be. Using kick in cat form can be rough sometimes because it takes a GCD to shift.

Evoker is kind of the opposite of Druid in that your APM is low and your heals are generally big with some aoe hots to supplement. You can also cast about 3 spells at the beginning of a pull and do huge dps then focus on healing, so overall damage comes out a lot higher on heal-intensive dungeons. Evoker has a true kick on a 40 sec cooldown, which is ok. They also have crazy personal defensives and good group defensives. I like this class because you can get creative with the combination spells you throw out and they have an answer for most anything. Their biggest weakness is lack of a spammable, single-target heal. Some tanks really don’t like running with Prevokers for that reason. You will also almost never need to drink, ever.

Holy priest can be fun with lots of throughput but it’s a pretty simple bread-and-butter heal rotation. You end up spamming mostly single target heals with some trail healing on yourself and your previous target, so you get a bit of passive aoe healing that way. Damage is ok, but a lot more effort for less numbers than Evoker. You have a few defensives you can juggle, just not much to mitigate for the party. You can’t clear poison which really sucks in some seasons, you have very little mobile healing, and you have no kick. There are some fights this season where as a holy priest I feel totally useless (mini boss bug at top of stairs in CoT for example). Holy priest absolutely excels at 2-target and passive self-healing. Mana is more of an issue for this spec than the other two I play.

Hopefully that helps!

Enhancement Shaman. I’ll never be 1%er but I enjoy the class a lot. Everything just flows naturally from my perspective.

Only thing missing is the ability to make a Blood/Void Elf Shaman.
