u mean LFR? because on normal/hc that means less loot for the raid
Yea you mostly do those stuff because you’re having fun doing them, gear can be fun too but if that’s the only thing you like that’s not great. This is why having also a goal is good to have so it doesn’t feel like a senseless grind. For me that’s mythic raiding.
I wonder about that all the time.
WoW’s pointless in general but at least it’s entertaining for now.
Chase the dragon.
Been the formula for 20 years.
Sounds like you’re wanting to go sober.
For a lot of us, we find fun in overcoming difficult challenges. I know I do. If raid or keys were easier I don’t think I would enjoy them as much.
there’s no point to any of it. accept it and have fun when you can. if you’re at the point where it’s not fun, take a break. that’s how i do it, anyway
sometimes. but I guess… what’s the point in any hobby? a diversion from life.
I could spend hours cross stitching. making thing after thing to hang around my house. or I could spend hours playing wow. either way I’m sitting on my butt working with my hands. I could spend hours playing the piano…again, spending hours sitting on my butt.
it’s just a hobby.
TIL all the things I like to do involve sitting on my butt not doing much at all
Even for LFR it counts. Every player adds 20% chance of one item. If you are the 16th and you’re already saved to a given boss, that just means the boss wil never dropped that low chance of a 4th item.
As for topic, so long as my friends raid, I will raid. When I have to rely on pugs, that’s when I stop, unless I have a very specific goal in mind, e.g. get aotc before a date.
Really one of the most dangerous questions someone with a wow sub can ask themselves.
Blizz needs to spend more time ensuring players never ask themselves this.
Nope, the point is to have fun accomplishing something most people won’t in a group setting which encourages me to work with others more often to accomplish large goals.
This is what finally broke my wow addiction during TBC. I went into TBC fully decked out in BWL and AQ gear. I spent countless hours, late work nights, and personal sacrifice to get to that point. To replace all of that hard work with greens was a slap in the face. I will never fall for that again. I lost that connection to my character when they dropped the first expac.
didnt know LFR counted aswell , but no1 does LFR more than 1 time…hell 1 time is to much already lol
That’s probably why it’s never noticed, and even if a lone person does rejoin, it’s still just 20% chance of not getting a 5th item.
I don’t do either and wonder that very thing. Not sure why Blizz ever added Mythic as a challenge mode back in the day when Heroic was fine as it was. Most guilds could not even clear H-Firelands off the bat, so why they added another layer of difficulty is beyond me.
the point is some form of fun or enjoyment, however a person defines that.
otherwise, what is the point?
but…but…you were not prepared…
I live so I can see what happens next. when things become as routine as WoW has become, I do something else.
I recommend anime as a transition activity.
The scrappy underdog is going to learn the power of friendship and win in the end.
Sorry, spoilers for whatever anime you were watching.
Fun and making grand memories. That is the only point that helps keep me playing this game. After Delves became a thing, I have not touched any Raids and/or Mythic+ dungeons. To be fair though I have not touched Mythic+ dungeons ever since I think Shadowlands right before I left after the first 3-4 months of the start of it.
(Sips )
There’s no reason to push when progression doesn’t exist. It doesn’t count when players are told to wait for their weekly login lootbox instead of playing the game.
If blizz wants to turn m+ into punishing esports, they have to put myth track into dungeon chests. Treating gear like how mobile games do it makes it worthless and fake.
Same goes for raiding.
Spending countless hours each week babysitting people to not spoil your timegate lockout is not worth it, irregardless of how good the rewards are.
Blizzard isn’t going to remove raid lockouts so raiding will stay dead. The company has too much obsession with being a control freak with taking away player agency and proper progression, so they put people in loot timeout and kill entire game modes.
