No, he is a proud member of the alliance. I don’t doubt him for a second!

He’s a traitor if he doesn’t take back the horde.

Absolutely yes!

No. A warchief with no honor is no warchief. We currently don’t have a warchief to betray.

Stay with the homicidal emo maniac who everyone hates, or go with a traitor who allowed the Alliance King to live and is making us fight our brothers and sisters in arms…

Can we have a mutany, or an election to get Bain as warchief? I’m having 2016 flashbacks…

Hmm, lets see. Follow someone who was raised up as a banshee by Frostmourne or follow someone who represents the true Horde?

It shouldn’t be a difficult choice for us Horde players.

I used to think he was honorable but the last few expansions he doesnt even hold himself to his own sense of honor or makes it up on the fly. Its hard to call him either loyal or a traitor, he is just a plot device of whatever was convenient to write him as at any given moment.

I don’t think Saurfang is a traitor so much as he’s just confused as hell about the story like the players are.

Traitor shmaitor. Whichever side is the highest bidder. It’s the goblin way!

Nope. Team/pack mentality is dumb. If someone or someones you are allaiged with or friends or even family are doing things you morally disagree with, you should peace it. Or even try to stop them.

Oaths are stupid. They are magic words that might make you feel a certain way for an amount of time, thats about it.

Its perfectly fine to change your mind. Natural even. With time comes knowledge, learning… with that should come a change of heart on occasion, if it doesnt… well it was never going to, and thats a whole nother level of fanaticism that i probably cant help you with.

I left the active army, honorably, for this very reason after going to both iraq and Afghanistan. I now disagree with what it is that militaries as a concept do and stand for. Am I a coward or traitor? Nah.

But this also does not absolve me, or saurfang, of any past wrongdoings, whether in a acus or under a horde banner or under the fel curruption or otherwise. Agency is a thing. You are accountable for your actions.

All that said its a game so

POWER TO THE FORSAKEN
DEATH TO THE LIVING

I’m as confused as Saurfang right now but I wouldn’t betray my faction leader unless I had more info to judge her on. Wasn’t happy at all with the burning of Teldrassil but the alliance leaders are no innocents either.

I don’t see Saurfang as a traitor I see him as someone who cares about the Horde and wants it to be a place the Horde races can live while Sylvanas and Garrosh just see the Horde as a tool.

I would say yes in the same way that revolutionaries are traitors when they split off to their own nation, overthrow a tyrannical government, or something of the sort

They are traitors until they win, then they are revolutionaries and patriots

basically, yeah.

i don’t think he’s a traitor for opposing Sylvanas, i think he’s a traitor for working with the boy king and refusing to kill Malfurion when he had the chance

He’s a traitor.

If he had just followed his own damn plan and killed Malfurion, Teldrassil wouldn’t have been burned down. He’s forty different shades of stupid.

Yes, he is. The authority of the Horde’s warchief is absolute, and the only acceptable way to dethrone a warchief is by an honorable duel with specific rules. For that reason, he would be considered a traitor. However I support the Horde he fights for. If he can bring us that future, he will not be a traitor but a hero.

History is written by the victor.
