Do you guys like the simplistic design of cloth gear?

i’ve seen plenty of complex looking cloth sets in my day for each class.

As a classic player turned 60 and being inundated in clown tunics and booty shorts, I wish they’d just make cloth “the robe armor.” If I don’t want a robe, I’ll play one of the other armor types. I’ve always hated being a clothy and being given a tunic for a couple levels. I try to avoid it but on hellfire you get a blue tunic that is leaps and bounds better than anything else available. Even the other greens around that level aren’t robes. It’s as if they want us to suffer.

I’d enjoy it if they just added -actual- skin paint and skin paint alone as a costume option. Actually sorta canon for Troll Berserkers!

Sometimes yes. I like gear that looks like gear. Gear made by an artisan who makes gear. I like stitches and buckles and so on.

Set wise, you are as boxy, spikey, tentacley as any other armor types.

Thats plate on cloth. Shouldnt really be worn by clothies. But its not like class fantasy is a thing anymore.
Edit: Im not AGAINST it, i actually prefer the layered robes on my clothies.

I mean, there’s nothing wrong with it, at this point exclusive cloth armor is more of a gameplay factor than anything. Khadgar has scale armor on his shoulders, Jaina seems to wear leather and has a metal gauntlet and of course Anduin straight up just wear plate now.

Right. I dont mind a mix at all. They say what im wearing on my toon is mail, but its clearly leather.

I doubt it, won’t Evoker be stuck using the Dragon form 90% of the time like Worgen?

Their Dragon form don’t even show armor unfortunately.

I think their natural form currently supports shoulders and belt? …

But … yeah, probably not.

Mail wearers will be sent back into the cupboard with the spiders.

i don’t mind the entire design, but i dislike that they seem to think all cloth-weares only want skirts.

I think it’s just their fascination on robes. It’s like they are stuck in this creative rut and most cloth gear has to be this flat, painted on robe lol.

Here are the sets from that other mmo for comparison. Still a lot of robes, yes, but check out all of the open robes, half robes, cloaks, and yes, even pants that are available, which doesn’t even include all of the other various pieces not part of sets:

I think all new armor looks fussy and overdesigned.

Leather gear has always looked like recycled scrap.
