personally, i skip it entirely (and the one in ashenvale)
i am a bit obsessive over my inventory space- especially at those levels where bag space is even at a higher premium
i have heard the chain gives good exp but it rubs me the wrong way
any others feel strongly one way or the other about quests like these?
The pages are like 5 silver each on the AH
I just toss them in my bank or send them to my alt till i have them all and turn them in all at once. Sell the extra ones on the ah for profit. My bag space is fine.
Some of them on my server go for 15-25 silver. Some are rarer than others. I made 3gold this morning selling the ones i got.
I either sold the high priced ones on the AH or vendored them. The xp isn’t worth spending money on it especially when most classes need all the money they can get for their mount.
I did it once back in Vanilla but other than that I haven’t bothered with it. I just sold the pages I got on the AH for some extra silver to go toward my 40 mount.
I played as a duo with a friend and we just mailed the pages to each other
Literally this. I bought all the ones I didn’t get while doing the kurzen compound quests and turned them all in at once. Good exp for less than a gold spent

What??? 11G? On Herod they go for around 5s each on the AH. Did you bind pages together into books and sell them? Holy moly.

I sold like 60 pages over the last 3 days. They ranged from 10 to 30silver.
Herods ecomony is also really bad.
I do it on a warrior or paladin because it’s the first plate drop you’ll get usually is the quest reward
Its one of the best xp to hour ratio quests in the game.
I just vendor the pages, admittedly. I lose track of which ones I have and which ones I lack, and just basically throw my hands up in frustration and say “I’ll take the handfuls of silver, thank you.”
It was a bit annoying to lug around but I banked them as I quested the area. Once I felt like I had knocked out the upper STV area and was not going to touch the lower part for a while I hit the AH for the couple of other pages I needed.

That’s essentially what I did. Buy all the missing pages off the AH.
To save bag space, I stashed the ones I had in the bank. Then took them out once I had them all.

It was better during the first month when people were questing in STV, and you could trade pages, or sell them at market price (usually more than vendor).
I managed to finish the quest by the time I was out by just trading pages.

100% not worth doing. I think the last time I did this quest was in 2006
