Some people theorize they holdoff on sweeping tuning due to ongoing AWC. I personally do not give a flying rats turd about a handful of players competing in a weekend online tourney.
They need to just update ASAP. I’m afraid they waited too long this expansion, especially fixing deflation, which had turned off A LOT of people. We aren’t at ghost town def con 5 yet but the bm menace has made things really stale
I think the AWC is an excuse for putting off PvP balancing.
I don’t think they’re related at all; I think blizz is just really lazy about PvP balancing because PvP is a semi-forgotten minigame to them
every time they try to fix it they just make it worse anyways
They absolutely do not hold off on pvp changes due to awc… Where is that logic coming from? They completed upended the meta in the last cup and nearly every team switched comps to play some form of hpal feral spriest. And not to mention they released a patch within weeks of the grand finals that had several classes dealing actual broken damage with various bugs.
Pretty sure Holinka mentioned in the past they hold off on changes around tournaments. They could do a static version of the game for them, but I think the only reason to even do these tournaments is to hype the game up and they don’t really want to be confusing viewers by showing a different version than what they can play. I think some communication would go a long way though. Just saying “we have some pvp updates that will be released the Tuesday after AWC” would help.
