Like you were to your Legion Class Halls? Which do you like more for the rp, lore and character value?
For me Legion Class Halls are a clear winner and I wish every expansion just built more on them.

Legion Halls > Covenants.
Why would a Paladin or Priest of the Light swear loyalty to a faction that literally hates the cosmic force they live for?

I like Plague Devisor Marileth for the Necrolord boys.
Heart of the forest gives my PC conniptions.
I forget Bastion is a thing most of the time.
I like Gubbins and Tubbins and Theotar and…blood anima not blood?
In summary I give covenants a mid to strong maybe.

Not really, and I shouldn’t. I never died. We are literally in the afterlife without having died, so we should not feel completely connected to our covenants as a result.

I picked my covenants solely based of transmogs. DK is Fae cause I like the wood armor set. Lock is Venthyr.

Some legion class halls did feel a bit off for me.

Pirest was wierd too.
Didnt like those at all.
I really enjoy venthyr and NF. Kyrians are whatever and maldraxus is just eh.

This was a bit ironic considering in legion the hidden artifact questline for pallies was all about corrupting your sword lol.
Turned out to be the most amazing hidden quest btw.

Or better yet, adopt an ability that is based in shadow, like Ashen Hollow or the Hammer from Necrolords. (Both very cool, but thematically at odds with the Paladin ethos)

The priest one is the interesting one due that it’s in another planet… it’s out there somewhere like warlocks… interesting like DH that’s on mardum.
The rest is just predictable honestly but on SL there’s 0 connection… and the further you think about it the worse it gets when you’re basically locked in one covenant despite helping all 4 with their issues. Seems after all the different covenants arent really helping each other if the maw walker has to stay in 1.

I don’t feel the same connection at all. I think the whole emerald dream thing really impacted the fantasy of the game for me in a great way. There was tons of build up and side story for years leading up to the moment I could carry my artifacts.
I do think ardenweald kinda shows the other side of things, but it’s not as special since anyone can join, and the leader is just mia.
Tbh I avoid shadowlands zones unless I have to do an anima run or gather materials. I still hang out in my emerald dreamway or azeroth zones.
Night fae wish they were as cool as keepers and dryads!
