For open world? Not really, some classes solo better than others and classes with pet tank are usually really good at it, it’s not surprising at all.
For raiding/m+? A bit, it’s annoying seen how some classes are way better at handling the content, sometimes it’s not even a dps thing but a mobility and self sustain issue.
For pvp? 100%, it just feels awful to play with a bottom of the barrel spec and feel like you can’t win if gear/skill are equal because your class is just in a bad state, it legit the only reason I ever thought about “what if there were class change in the shop”.
Yes, I main feral and playing other specs is like a rotation vacation for me. So much work to put out big numbers but on my alts its ‘lol 2 button smash smash’. Not mad per se, but definitely jelly.
Mostly annoying. I enjoy mage and all the get outta jail free cards it has, especially in raids/dungeons. In open world, though I feel like I have to work twice as hard for half the results. Luckily I have enough gear now its a bit less painful, since most mobs are dead by the time flurry is over.
Yeah watching my health yoyo (and I have very few CD’s comparatively) when on a prot warrior I rarely even use CD’s (I’ve three chested 11’s without using shield wall a single time.) In two days my DH had a lower score than my prot warrior.
Yes but, you also went from mage, the worst open world class to hunter, the best. It makes sense it would feel very jarring.
The problem you will find with hunter+pet in open world stuff, it’s too easy. With BM pet you are basically invincible vs world mobs. It can get boring after a patch or two.
its the same with all/any class you play. imo it boils down to aesthetics. my feral druid has easy instant heals every 10 secs but i enjoy play style of other characters more.
it does suck though sometimes
I could understand your feeling. But you definitely escaped from death many times with a single click of Shimmer; the ease and flow of such simple but effective dodging feels great. So I’m not mad; they are features, characteristics.
