Like, let’s say you’re some weirdo, and content (regardless of tier) poses little to no difficulty to you. Would you enjoy the game if everything felt like hitting a training dummy? Is the gameplay fun enough for that?
If yes, why? If no, why?

Yes.
I’m actually in orbit right now.
Subjective question. It really depend why someone is playing the game and what their tastes are.
There is no definitive answer. But if MoP remix is any measure, yes, yes it is.
I don’t enjoy WoW gameplay at all.
IMHO what makes WoW great is the setting. Creating a character in this vast rich world and existing in it, exploring it, dancing in a bikini throughout it, etc.
Actually playing the game is just a chore I do to get to the above.
Define “hitting like a dummy” to me. Do you mean like just whaling on something and it never dies? Or killing something really fast with no challenge?
Cuz I hate either, and thats what I like about WoW. I can find the right challenge/fun level for myself.
Why do you always have to start threads with ridiculous comments?
Like, brain off you hardly have to try or think, content just falls over after a while. No sense of risk or urgency.
Sometimes I like to turn off my brain, get a real good buzz, put something on the telly and just zone out killing stuff.
Other times, I want to challenge myself, and thats when I start raiding and doing M+.
And thats why I, myself, love WoW. You can chose to be a leveling God using hierlooms, or act Classic without them. You can choose to steamroll old raids or challenge yourself via all sorts of stuff, whether thats solo raiding, puging current content, or just putting limiter Challenges on yourself like a Nuzlocke pokemon run.
I’m using a vacuum right now, I don’t think I would enjoy playing in it. It’s a bit dirty and cramped
Ridiculous to you, reality for me.
So, like you?
I wsh the scaling we as good as ESO where its pretty much uniform game wide and outside of Chromie time every fight with everything had a little challenge to it…just enough that if I get mobbed I might…you know…die. lol.
And I’d like endgame to actually require me to be awake.
Lots of things to do in this game other than just that content.
I probably would enjoy the game more if that type of content posed no difficulty for me since I would do it. I like being awesome.
maybe try doing the hardest content, i.e. mythic raiding.
Did that in DF, was the same thing but the people in my group were sweatier (and no better for it either).
Well I guess you either have to PVP or quit if things are too easy for you and you don’t like it. Lots of other games, I am sure you will find one that suits you more.
Nah I like to watch Bob Burgers while playing or chat on the phone
Not really. Any games that DO suit me, I finish within a few days to a week.
That’s why I like MMOs, they never end, and have thousands of hours of content as opposed to <40.
Only other game that doesn’t put me to sleep, and lasts more than a few days, is League, and I can’t handle playing League every day, I’m going to pop a blood vessel or something.
That is why Blizz makes it more relaxed they know people mostly just want to chill when they get home, WoW has for a loooong time been a game you can take a gummy and enjoy seeing your character be cool, cute and get stuff done
