i originally had written out a rant about delves but it was prob for the best for me not to post it so what r ur guys thoughts on delves?

yeah, but u need gear to do m+ to get gear u get it thru delves thru bountiful
sure, u could run m+ but delves drop gear 100% m+ doesn’t drop it 100%
that and you’d have to spam zeros for a less likely chance of getting gear compared to delves
they give an edge early in the season
but by the second/third week, not even a little bit
so no, i don’t

Id do delves until i burned all my keys then go m+.
You dont really NEED delve gear to do m+, but it does help.

I’ve never done a single M anything my entire WoW run since TBC, but I love delves. I’m good.

EXACTLY MY PROBLEM. It’s frustrating as hell. I’m only surviving off of pvp gear just to get up to 620 which helps but it still doesnt give me that nice edge
Yea i would recommend bountiful delve, crafted if you can get 1-2 pieces. Then if you are still around 620ish do a couple m0 or m2.
Also make sure to kill world boss and do lfr.
You also get gear through m+
And its not capped at 4 pieces of champ a week, so just get gear through that

For anyone not pushing 10s, Delves aren’t mandatory but due to how much gear you get from them for so little work you’d have to be stupid to not do 'em. I don’t like Delves so I don’t do 'em that much, but man I have noticed how insanely far behind I’m others because of that!
It is not just day and night between people abusing Delves for gear and crests and those who doesn’t, but it is more like if I’m day and someone else is doing Delves then they are night several days ahead of me. It is absolutely bonkers how much gear Delves provide.
This isn’t me saying that they shouldn’t (nor am I saying that they should, I honestly don’t know is my stance whether I think they are good or not) but this is just me saying that Delves do provide an insane amount of easy and relatively good gear as an objective observation of it.
Whether someone else wants to call that mandatory or not… eh, I dunno. I’d say no, but that folks who aren’t using it are being stupid (in my case I have been sick so doing Delves is one of the last things I’d want to do whilst resting).

Ive had the opposite problem rofl.
I have done my delves every week this season, but ive gotten a vers piece every single run. Sometimes i even get 2x the same piece in a run haha.
Realistically m+ will be the best way to gear. You just have to get the gear to comfortably do them.

I do delve just to get the gear to start doing mythics. As far as getting mythic experience. Youre gonna have to do a mythic dungeon.
I get that, but how? My ILVL on my alts are garbage, to the point where delves look like my only way to ilvl heaven. They’re all around 600. Except for one or two.
Make sure you do world boss, should be guaranteed 1 boa item a week. Then knock out the lfr wings.
Have you crafted items yet?
Id definitely recommend doing every bountiful and your map at delve 8.
Have you reached certain renown reps? The bop items off the vendors are super low for mains, but may help boost alts a little. I dont play alts so im not sure on this last one.
This is exactly why steroids are also required in professional sports

For the first 2 weeks before doing +7s so i could get my 3 11s worth of myth crests to craft sure; now that its done not really.
Not breaking tier bonus for delve gear, not switching out crafted jewelry with bis stats for delve jewelry, none of the trinkets are good for me, crafted weapon had my embellishment so didnt replace those; the only slots delves could upgrade week 1 was belt, wrists, cloak and bracers which could be done through mythic 0s with better stat targeting.
I don’t consider them mandatory to do m+, raiding or PvP. They help but you can get the gear you need for the content just by doing that content.
Will it help gear up? Yes
Are they required? No

Delves are mandatory, but in a low-key kind of way. Delves are where the top M+ players go to hone their skills. They must complete Delves of at least Tier 5 and they must have had Brann in all three roles. This allows them to master the following skills.
Tank Brann: Blame the tank.
Healer Brann: Blame the healer.
DPS Brann: Blame the DPS.
At any time before the final boss they can leave the Delve. This gives them the final skill.
Leave Delve: Brick a Key.
Now you know the secret training grounds of the best M+ Puggables!
