The first professions I level in every expansion are herbalism and alchemy as they seem to consistently earn decent money, at least early on. Most of the income comes from flasks and healing potions, but there’s always those others in the list that I rarely bother with and I’m curious if many people actually use them, or if they’re just filler in the recipe list.
I’m talking about “Increase your strength by ___ for 12 seconds” type of potions. To me they’ve always been something I have but never use as I’ve already got enough buttons to push without adding one more negligible boost for a short period of time.
Do you use these at all?

All the time. Mainly because I prefer those to the weird combo with weapon oil potions.
I never use the weird utility potions though.

This mage does along with enchantments and anything else she can get her hands on because she can use all the help she can get!!!

If that’s the case, then you don’t need to press Icy Veins, Combustion, Arcane Power, or Time Warp. Those are just more buttons to press that give you a boost for a short period of time. /s
There is always the option of making a macro that uses the potion and the ability together.

I tend to hoard them, especially if those potions are reagents for something else.
I haven’t had many potions hotbarred since around 2009, when in pvp I would use Free Action potions

Back in vanilla days and classic, those were super-useful in getting that Elite down for a quest. But now, even at my relatvily low ilvl, I’m just too powerful to care. I can solo most elites in Shdwlnds save for world bosses.

I have never used those potions. I’ve been in raids where they ask me “do you have your potions and flasks” and I’m like, yep I sure do… but I really don’t and no one ever says anything and we still down bosses.

definitely worth making imo

tongue clicks disappointedly at Fenny
BTW there are raid leader addons that tells the lead if anyone is missing flasks, food and the like. You are playing with fire!

I’ve been an alchemist since day one so I make and use them. Mostly for my alts to use while leveling and such. Invis pots to get to the Maw world boss. The one to make your corpse travel faster back to your body >_<. Of course lots of heal potions. Still pot when the raid boss is pulled. Flask always. Since I make them, my chars drink them like soda.
Always been a useful profession for me.

I didn’t know there was such a pot, I don’t usually look at them
They’re great, but can bug out. They don’t work in Korthia at all.
