Absolutely. A lot of words that you can try and use, not even curse words, but once you attempt to post , a promt will pop up saying this post has a banned word.
And even if you don’t use curse words but generalize what you are stating towards someone directly, can get auto silence by people reporting. Have to be pretty careful now a days on here. No longer a fine art of verbal warfare

Nah. I’ve been suspended a few times for demonstrating “passion” for this game.

I use to not hold back all while staying polite but now i double check every single words because we aren’t allowed to use half the english language without getting a timeout on the forums !!!

The letter F and the word Karma are a no-no on these forums from my experience!

Yeah, the Pro-Left bias of the moderators is really thick here.
They are oh-so-quick to jump on anybody who offends the usual “easy to offend” crowd, but yet the same crowd can say absolutely hateful things about, say, religion (or at least any religion that’s not Islam) and that’s A-OK apparently.

No, we’re not, but we’re FORCED not to say exactly what we think because snowflakes can’t handle the truth in plain English. Sorry(not really), that’s just how it is. It is ironic that ActiBlizz wants to create a “safe space” on their forums when they should have made their work environment a safe space instead. I’m sure all those employees that were harassed would agree, don’t you all think?

Eh I would disagree, as I am on the opposite side of things from you (it seems) and I have been dinged nearly a dozen times.
There is no agenda, they are just really bad at moderation.
I’d be very surprised what you actually got dinged for, obviously you can’t repeat what you said verbatim but I’m genuinely curious of the gist of what was said.
Probably the silliest thing was the most recent one: I got a 24 hour one for saying I took naps between boss fights.
While that is indeed silly, that sounds more like an auto-ban. I think the forums automatically hand out a 24 hour silence if (x number) of people report a post.
So, you said that you sleep between bosses and a bunch of raiders got angry and reported your post, and boom, auto-ban. I highly doubt a human had anything to do with that.
There are no autobans. The reports hide the post, but the ban has to be applied manually.
I once compared gy camping to an event in the 1940s

I got a 4-day silence recently for stating scientific fact having to do with basic biology 101 because it went against people’s feelings.
Feelings > Facts apparently. Tried to dispute that one, but saw the 24+ hour wait (I waited 24h still no response) and gave up and deleted the ticket.
These days I doubt I’m the only person losing faith in the forums, and the moderation team to actually do their jobs properly (much like the rest of the entire company).
Their whole company is going up in a fireball and they’re going to ban people on the forums for silly junk like that? Ok… that’s what you should do. anger paying customers.

It’s been stated multiple times on the CS forums that nothing is automatic regarding silences/bans/suspensions.
I got you beat, with several month long bans added in for flavor. Here’s the kicker, most of them were for just telling the truth, no foul language, no spamming, nothing at all inappropriate or anything that was against policy, just for telling the truth. Funny how that works, huh?
