I’ll go anywhere at this point, if it’s actually different. Pve? Fine…I’ll leave rppvp,. Rppve? Even better,…again, as long as it really is different.
Are there any servers of any type, anywhere where the gen chat isn’t littered with lewd sex talk, graphic sexual organs, sizes, wanting them, taking them, eating them,…doing someone’s mom,…etc. ?
Has wow really reached a point where no server is free from this crude immature nasty talk in gen chat?
Name the server and I’ll go there.
The majority of players I see posting on gen chat are childish perverts with clearly no self respect or regard for personal wholesomeness.
It’s repulsive.
What server can I go to that is free of this pollution?
Unfortunately, my dude, you can’t escape the craziness of the general chat. Although, I have noticed general chat has gotten a lot less racist/sexual/political/crude over the past few days.
And yup, I am also American and I cannot stand the political talk. If I wanted to talk politics, I certainly wouldn’t do it in a freakin’ MMORPG.
I rolled on Bloodsail Buccaneers (RP-PVE) for exactly the reasons that the OP is complaining about. I haven’t spent much time in the city yet, but general chat in Teldrassil has been really pleasant.
I’ve not seen anything way out of hand on BB. Some discussion of classic boob physics is the most rowdy thing I have witnessed. RP servers tend to be more friendly as well, except for that one… you know the one.
Kromcrush has been alright with the exception of Barrens and Barrens-lite (Durotar). Left that General chat after about 5 minutes of unadulterated cancer.
If you don’t mind playing OCE I’ve found that both sides of Remulos are full of chill and interesting people.
But people are gonna people, so maybe leave gen chat if you don’t like the content of it? Sounds like you wouldn’t be missing out on much if you did.
Ha ha… last night in Teldrassil I intended to type “Got it” when someone answered by question, and accidentally typed “Go tit” instead. The zone had fun with that one.
It only took me a couple of days to realize that it was a much more rewarding experience to get out of general chat… and trade chat when I’m in the cities. Granted, I miss out on some opportunities, but the tradeoff works for me.
