I don’t think many people actually encounter trolls often anymore. They just run into people with a different view point to themselves. Seeing a troll with any form of subtlety here is rare.

I prefer to reply to people with kindness, even if they randomly attack me just for having a different opinion then them. It feels weird to outright ignore someone even if they are just trying to have a word salad duel or something.
Internet has fostered a huge sub culture of black and white thinking so it happens a lot but oh well.

In game I like making them angrier; trolling the troll. Usually really easy, all you do is point out how stupid they sound.

Indeed, and i’m happy to dig into a good faith debate, but the second someone dips into hate, I got no time for them.
It’s weird, most of the time I can’t tell if it’s just someone not letting go of a point or needs to have the last word. It’s definitely telling if the person has an extremely low post count - or 10 and they’re all in the same thread! lol I do feel bad for those people when it is actually a different viewpoint and the person gets called a troll.
