Do the Wickerman Curses actually do anything at all?

I have been running the headless horsemen 13 times daily(1 times for each one of my alts). I got Arfus on the first fight and jack for everyone since. It took 40 tries(with all 4 curses on) to get the achievement “kickin’ with the wick” to register on one of the characters which I am completely not understanding since it has been done already multiple times. Every fight I seem to get the same useless junk a facemask and pumpkins. It really does not feel as though the buff/debuff does anything for the played except prolongs the fight.

If you still have the curse active at the end of the fight, you should be getting a higher chance at the bonus loot (according to what Blizzard has said). If you get hit too many times, though, the curse will fall off and you won’t get credit for it, which is probably why you didn’t get the achievement until after quite a few attempts.

I was not aware of this, as a tank I get hit alot, does this mean it makes no difference whether I get the curses or not?

Then how exactly does that work for tanks or do they just get screwed? That seems like a really dumb way to have something that is supposed to buff “Holiday Event” loot.

I know blizz mentioned there’s supposed to be a higher chance with curses, but RNG is too wild for a definitive conclusion. I only managed to get Arfus once I stopped activating the curses. Haven’t run with curses since. Not worth it.

But curses arent even hard.

It’s a game how about not taking some pixel rewards so seriously

I think its meant to be if you get hit by the various effects generated specifically by the curses it will cause you to lose the curse buff. Just getting melee hits from the boss should be fine. Unless its not working like that, but IDK.

No, they’re not hard. But they are annoying. And that annoyance stacks up when you multiply it by sheer volume of attempts.

Thats not how it works, but each their own.

It works like it works, lmao.

It does. It’s just the “stacking up” part. Like all you need to do is click and you have increased chance. I dont understand how this can get annoying - if you are after loot.

The additional mechanics are annoying and cumbersome. Not worth the supposed extra drop rate as i’ve already said. I get more luck without them.

curses only do something on 1 character per day bro, so in your case doing 13 a day it’s a large resounding “mostly not”

I don’t know if they do anything for the droprates but I can assure it caused me to die on my last run and I couldn’t respawn until the fight was over.

Not a fan.

They’ve not helped me.

I just ran it (on a 60) without the curses as people are saying they get Arfus without them… for the first time ever, I didn’t even get a loot filled pumpkin.

Going by a blue that posted the day the holiday started, all pulls get a bonus from the curses. Your first pull has the highest drop rate chance though.

The whole point of the game is pixel rewards.

Curses fall off due to mechanics and some cleanse type spells and shields.

If he summons a shadow version of you, be sure to kill it before it follows that path.

I ran with 4 curses about 10 times and it always got removes except once.

Since the first day this came out I’ve done all four curses and still no loot like pet or mount other than the basic loot.
