Do the kids still say woot?

So I got a drop the other day I was farming for and did a celebratory WOOT! in chat. One of the players I was with asked what “woot” was. I explained to him that it was a method of expressing excitement that we used in vanilla.

Then I got called old. That hurt a little. Then I realized I’m 36.

It got me thinking I really haven’t seen woot used in a while. Do the kids still use it? Am I stuck using an older gamer’s vernacular without the youngins knowing what I’m talking about. Is wearing onions on your belt ever coming back in style?

Old is a relative term.

When compared to 15 year-olds, 36 is very old.

When compared to 80 year-olds, 36 is young.

It all depends on your point of reference.

I always think about it in terms of the average age of death in America. If something were invented and it doubled life expectancy my view of old would also change.
